「It was a real treat to stay at the Balsam Inn! The Inn is off the beaten path like I wanted and very very quite. Jenny is a warm welcoming host. She even upgraded my room just because it was available. The room itself was beautiful! It felt like I was a guest in someones Adirondack mountain home. 「Spectacular interior spaces and super friendly owner. The interior is filled with incredible woodwork, especially grand staircase. Our suite was large and comfortable. Books everywhere to read. Great amount of satisfying choices for breakfast. We were pleasantly stuffed afterwards. Close to several restaurants. We were biking the Erie Canal Trail from Syracuse to Amsterdam NY and it was very convenient, close to trail and owner insisted on having our bikes inside. Loved it!!!」

「The whole experience of staying in a train car was fun. But when I walked in it was better than I could have ever imagined. The decor was on point bringing you back in time. Host was wonderful, space was clean, comfortable and beautiful. I loved that it was right next to the river which was so peaceful to have a cup of morning coffee. 「It was a nice place. Super comfortable beds and the bunk bed for the kids is a nice addition. 」

「Overall our stay was very enjoyable. The cabin was cute and a nice location. Communication was lacking. We did not get the key code sent to us until we had no service to retrieve the message. After a 6 hour drive we had to drive to find WiFi in order to get access. One of the deck chairs were broken and the grass in the yard was uncut. Overall though the cabin was as described and we had an enjoyable stay.」

「Great experience; we enjoyed the riverside cabin, hot tub, fire pit and local trails. Only con was the bed; we didnt find it very comfy. Thoughtful items strategically placed, such as toothbrush/paste in bathroom(in event u forgot), bug zapper on front porch, etc.」

「Bonnie and Steve were excellent hosts. The communication with them was great. They provided us with suggestions for places to visit and were incredibly friendly. The house was beautiful! They did a great job renovating it and the whole place was impeccably clean and had everything I could think of. There were lots of hiking opportunities in the area that we took advantage of, too. It was just a great experience all around!」
