Apartment In Heart Of Funchal Old Town

This apartment is located in the heart of the Old Town in Funchal just minutes walk from numerous restaurants and bars. The famous Lavradores Market can be found just three blocks away where you can find everything from flowers, vegetables, and clothes to beverages frequented by the locals. Banks, pharmacies, supermarket, and internet cafés are all to be found within a few minutes walk. Teleferico (cable car) is five minutes walking distance that takes you to the top of the mountain and the spectacular views over Funchal. The property also comes with a parking space available in the garage. As of the the 1st October 2024 tourists are required to pay €2/day by the Tourism Government of Madeira. Only for the first 7 days. This money should be handed over at arrival so it can be then paid at the Câmara Municipal by us.Please have the money in cash before you are handed the keys. Any queries please visit the website given by the Portuguese Government.

Very nice owner and on site housekeeper and property manger. Loved having parking. There are 3 flights of stairs to entry and an extra half flight when coming up from parking garage. Highly recommend rental. Great food in neighborhood. Ride shares easy to get. Could use better lighting.

we stayed for 9 days in the apartment and it was perfectly suited for what we needed. Very close to the old town area along with restaurants, shops, etc.. visited soccer practice nightly and there was a very nice café/bar on the corner.

Wir waren in der Ferienwohnung in der Altstadt von Funchal gut aufgehoben. Alles in der Nähe: Supermarkt, Bäcker und alle Restaurants gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Der Garagenplatz war Gold wert, in Funchal findet man kaum kostenfreie Parkplätze. Die Haushälterin war sehr nett und bei jeder Frage sehr hilfsbereit.

Tolle Wohnung in guter Lage

Die Wohnung gut und ausreichend ausgestattet. Der Garagenstellplatz war unbezahlbar bei der Parksituation auf Madeira. Die Waschmaschine wurde gern genutzt um schnell mal Wäsche durchzuspülen. Der zwar kleine Balkon lud am Abend zu Verweilen ein. Das Zentrum und der Hafen waren gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gern wieder.

Great stay! The appartment was very clean and very well positioned in the city. Corina was of great help when needed, and we had everything we needed from the kitchenware to beach towels. It is hot as there is no AC, but the nights are fresher and there is a fan available which made it comfortable nonetheless. I highly recommend the place!!

Funchal Flyaway

We found this to be a good place as a base to visit Funchal Madeira. We planned to use the well appointed kitchen (big fridge, Nespresso pod machine, microwave, electric kettle, gas cooker, full range of utensils provided)but there are some wonderful cheap Portuguese run eateries nearby so we didn’t bother. It is a one bedroom unit. Beds were very comfortable. The area is very quiet at night. The bathroom was great, with great water pressure and adequate hot water. There were plenty of towels and extra bedding available if needed. The washing machine was essential for us and was very good. The unit is well located close to everything. Corina was upstairs for any help required. It was a great place to explore the island from.

La struttura si trova a pochi passi dal centro della città ed è molto comoda per la presenza del box auto che a Funchal è quasi fondamentale. Corine è stata molto disponibile nel soddisfare le nostre esigenze. A pochi passi si trova anche un supermercato dove poter rifornirsi in caso di necessità.
