The open-concept, fully equipped American-style kitchen offers the freedom to create chef-worthy lunches or dinners. Even with a dishwasher, hand-washing becomes a pleasure while enjoying the stunning view of Funchal Bay.

The dining room features a spacious table, perfect for family meals or gatherings with friends. Relax on the comfortable L-shaped sofa, watching your favorite series or movie on the large TV, or enjoy a glass of wine while admiring the breathtaking view through the large panoramic window.

The house has three elegant bedrooms: one with a Queen-size bed, another with a King-size bed, and a suite with a Super King-size bed. All bedrooms have large windows with panoramic views over Funchal.

The suite includes a bathroom with a shower and a bathtub, and there is a second bathroom with a spacious shower. The laundry area is equipped with a washing machine for added convenience.
The outdoor areas are perfect for relaxing or enjoying al fresco dining. Take advantage of the large barbecue area to prepare delicious meals while enjoying the peaceful and welcoming atmosphere.

Amazing House with Incredible Views

Condo was very well appointed and spacious enough for 3 couples. The view from the outdoor patio was amazing. A local representative (Carolina) met us at the house at 9pm at time to welcome us and explain everything in the unit. Incredible service! They also provided a video showing how to get to the house which was needed as it is a narrow and very steep laneway that leads to the house, one we might not have found at 9pm in the dark. Lastly, there is a road some 50 meters below the unit, I would strongly recommend that you park there, as the last 50 meters to the house is incredibly steep and very tight. Over-all, we would highly recommend Casa Afonso.

High Tech House

House is lovely, very high tech. It has a beautiful view. Only problem was the house is also very high up a very narrow road. Parking in a large car is difficult but doable.

Fabulous views - nice stay

Spotlessly clean with stunning views and sunsets. Loved watching the lights come on over Funchal. Bathrooms were clean and light and beds were very comfortable. We cooked 3 meals in the kitchen with local foods and enjoyed some port at evenings outside on the front patio. Washing machine mid way throughout our two week trip a big plus. Host provided a great list of restaurants and local car rental - a must in this area to explore the island.Cons- very hilly up a very steep driveway and not really walkable to town. House was so “smart” electronically that was a bit off putting at first and difficult to figure out; QR codes in the house, etc. The listing did not disclose local city taxes payable at the property. We paid but were not happy about the no disclosure. Front bathroom had a slight sewage smell arrival but might have been from non use? It dissipated after first night.And fine afterwards. A garbage disposal would have been helpful especially if you plan to cook. Inside electronics seemed a little invasive at first as the smart pad in the kitchen would speak periodically and randomly. The front door would periodically cycle into a lock and had to figure out how to unlock it. Just a leaning curve perhaps and unfamiliarity with a smart home. Entry has lots of stairs so not for the Physically challenged.Overall really like the house for our 4 day stay just took some getting used to.
