“The hotel is beautiful, but unfortunately the restaurant was closed the night of our stay and we were disappointed because we planned on eating there. I guess I should have checked the restaurant hours before booking. Most of the town had businesses that were closed in the middle of the week, so just be aware when you book. The person working the desk recommended a restaurant outside of town and it was good. There was no one at the front desk when we checked out early in the morning. The sign……

“We stayed here for one night to break up a long drive, and overall it was a decent experience. The property itself is beautiful, with lots of plants and gardens, and it looks like the host is continually improving and adding to the space. The room was clean and comfortable once we got settled. When we arrived, it appeared the room hadn’t been cleaned yet, but after reaching out to Steven, he responded immediately and had his housekeeper come take care of it right away. “It was weird when we got there. We couldn't find the entrance at first since it wasn't obvious. When we did find it, there was just a key left on the table with my name saying that everything was self-service. Not one employee in sight. It's an old property under renovation so it felt pretty creepy. Everything creaks and the walls are thin. The room was okay with a nice view of the Hudson. “Check in was relatively easy. It’s an automated hotel so don’t expect staff whatsoever. WiFi was spotty at best. The AC was not great, but I’ll mention it was a hot day. It’s pricey for what is offered. ”
