Great charming beachside cottage

As soon as we walked through the front door, I fell in love with its charm and just knew we had to stay another night tacked onto the end if available, and thankfully it was. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Bombora!

Enjoyable Girls Weekend Away

A bunch of us had a great weekend at this place. So close and accessible to everything (beach, Gerringong, Berry) whilst also having enough spaces in the house to enjoy the house as we wanted.

Perfect getaway

We loved this house! Old school beach charm with modern twists, totally comfortable for 5 adults. We had most of our meals on the deck, beautiful views and at night the stars are amazing. Very quiet area, countryside, beaches, beautiful walks. Highly recommend.

Short stay

Although it was an old house, accommodation was spacious, clean and well equipped with everything for an enjoyable holiday stay! Beds were comfortable and great scenic views can be seen from all front windows. Check in via advice from mobile phone and email messages was easy and welcomed. Would book it again.

Great location and great accommodation

Good holiday accommodation. Three bedrooms and more than adequate living space - indoor and outdoor. All the facilities that you would expect for a self-catering holiday. A bottle of wine from one of the local vineyards greeted us on arrival. Overall, we rated the accommodation very highly. Slightly bizarre oven requires timer to be turned on for it to start (probably a safety feature); third bedroom has no functioning ceiling light as a note says that he fan has been disconnected. Otherwise - great house, great views, close to beach. Highly recommended.

Great location

The proximity to the river and beach was amazing and the house was clean and tidy. We stayed on an extremely hot weekend and the aircon and ceiling fans weren’t sufficient to keep the family cool. The aircon isn’t very powerful. We noticed the bbq wasn’t that clean when we went to use it. There was also a plastic high chair with lots of cracks in it which didn’t seem safe for a child to sit in, and the tray was also broken. The floor fan in the bunk room didn’t work.

Nice for a girls weekend away

This was a fairly nice property to stay at with a bunch of girlfriends. However, we were not at all prepared for the big narrow set of uneven steps we had to go up to get to the property (one of the girls had a broken ankle and these stairs which we weren't aware of made it extremely difficult for her to come and go). The main shower leaked into the hallway through the floorboards and one of the girls slipped over from it, not expecting the hallway floor to be wet. When we arrived the lockbox would not work and we had to wait to be let in by the maintenance man. It also did not work when we left. There was only 3 toilet paper rolls supplied for a group of 6 booked for 2.5 days, we had to go out and get more on arrival. Many of the dishes in the cupboard were dirty when we arrived and we had to re-wash them again before using them. The mattress protector provided in the main bedroom was extremely stinky and made the whole bed smell. We had to leave it outside as the smell was taking over the whole house. The steps outside in the backyard are also quite narrow and dangerous and should have a warning as when using at night time it is very hard to see, even with the lights on. Overall we had a nice weekend but these factors definitely contributed to our stay. We all agreed that we definitely would not be able to stay here with our parents or young children, but it was okay for us as a group of young women.
