“Very loud very early in our room (126) three straight mornings. Lots of booming footsteps at 6:30-7:00 AM; I'm not sure if it was housekeeping or boisterous guests (each day we stayed there were busses parked in the parking lot, so this is obviously a popular choice for large groups of kids). The hotel itself is fine - nothing special.”

“We stayed in the Kentucky Room of the Welty house for 3 nights in June 2026. We arrived about 845pm. There was no parking, but when I contacted the help line, they were able to direct me to legal (and free) parking nearby to unload. Parking was not an issue the rest of our stay. The grab and go breakfast was ok. The coffee available is all K cups, so again ok. They did have a wide selection of flavors including teas for the Keurig machine. Bantham Coffee was about 2 blocks away if you are……

“Great location and large room, downside was no staff on site; we needed to call to get someone from the next door diner to open the door. No welcome or further context. Also no staff when we checked out. Rooms are nice and spacious, the outdoors patio and garden are a great opportunity to relax in, but is current quite empty; if they would make this a bit more cosy and welcoming it would be a lot better.”

“Honestly after reading some bad reviews I wasn’t sure what to expect. The rooms were clean and larger than I thought they would be. The breakfast staff were amazing! The first day the lady at the breakfast cottage was so nice! My girls wanted chocolate muffins and there weren’t any left. The lady working said she had more and she brought some out. I had trouble figuring out how to adjust the thermostat & the room was warm during the night. Also, there was a charge added to our card that we didn't understand. The manager tried to explain it but said it would be taken off when we checked out. That effected our financial decisions during our stay. Otherwise everything was good.”
