"The hotel is in a convenient location for the town and train station. There’s also lots of parking. However, the hotel is tired and atmosphere was not welcoming. The Reception staff checked us in was cold efficient - so we got a room key! We heard other Receptionists give info about breakfast and amenities but we got none! Room was functional but stuffy and tired. We booked twice to eat in the restaurant but cancelled the 2nd one as the food was so awful (pie was the only hot thing due to it’s obvious encounter with a microwave, veg was inedible and mash was congealed). Staff were disinterested and also drinks arrived after the food - we had to ask twice about them by that stage. Even the hotel name on the frontage was missing half of its letters, it just seems that the hotel rests on it’s location so if that’s what you need it’s fine but we’d definitely recommend dining elsewhere. "
