「The location staff and facilities but a good room as well 」

「I can't fault my 3-night stay at the Halvard as a solo traveller on business. My room was well maintained, spacious and comfortable with a decent heating/aircon system that allowed me to have the temperature I like. The staff were all very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful throughout my stay. The food was superb with the included breakfast being excellent. 「I didnt have a beach view, but I wished I did it would of complemented the whole atmosphere of the Regency Hotel. Very quaint, oldy worldy place in a very nice way. Nice personal touches from the toiletries to the shoe shine and sewing kit. Loved my stay. 」

「A lovely warm welcome, staff were all brilliant and friendly. Lovely rooms available but we got a room with a rubbish view, broken drainage pipes, water gushing noise. Unfortunately the swimming pool was out of use also but was offered usage of sister hotel down road but not the same as being able to just pop down to use it. Breakfasts were lovely. Encore bar and restaurant were brill lovely food and drinks . Just a shame about what could have been a 5 star 」

「This place is well hidden in a residential street right behind the lively Market Street and the promenade. It's a slightly older building, so please be prepared to climb a few steep stairs. The host, Peter, is absolutely amazing. He's very friendly, helpful and accessible in case some assistance is required.
