lovely and clean, well stocked kitchen, well draining bathtub and shower (often an issues with vacation homes), lovely view of the beach, easy access. Only thing - neighbors immediately behind were noisy so we slept downstairs but they were nice and we go to be early so that's on us. It says we weren't supposed to use the outside stairs but we had to - the spiral stairs were way to difficult for our dog to handle safely. For a dog friendly property this is an issue. But she did fine with the outside stairs so wasn't a problem

Easter Getaway!

We loved this spot. The location was great, view spectacular and the house was perfect. House was very comfortable—loved the high ceilings, the beds were comfy and a well stocked kitchen. Easy access to the beach. Very friendly neighbors—all in all a perfect Easter weekend.

Great Beach house location.

Amazing location away from the hustle and bustle of most beach properties. Went for walks everyday on the beach and did 3 separate hikes to local state parks. Those were breathtaking. Wood burning fireplace was stocked with wood and paper to get it going.

Beautiful and Cozy

A short walk to a long beach! In the shoulder season we walked for miles, explored Otter Rock, and walked back seeing almost zero other people in the fog. The house has plenty of space and a fantastic view. Just minutes by car from Gold Beach. Would’ve stayed longer if we could!

Nice place for a quiet getaway.

We enjoyed the access to the beach. Quiet neighborhood except side roadwork going on. Place is comfortable. Be prepared to use stairs for main floor. Great view of the beach. Close to Gold Beach Bookstore and sightseeing. The only disappointments were uncleaned areas (table lazy susan, some dishes and silverware, window freezer bottom), and blinds were hard to use and delicate.

Quirky with amazing views

Great location, and amazing views. The decor is eclectic but comfy and the kitchen is well equipped. On the bad side, the fridge was broken and there was an ant infestation. Owners tried to get in early to replace fridge as we were packing up at 930am. We were rushed out by the owners who were not polite about it.

Beautiful view.

The view was great, but a bit blurry because of the windows. Would NOT rent here again only because of the spiral staircase. Bad, BAD idea and extremely dangerous. Not good for children, pets OR people.

Great location and view!

Watching the ocean through large, clean windows and excellent beach access were the highlights. The kitchen as well stocked with appliances, plates and glasses. The old Teflon frying pans didn't meet our standards but we'd anticipated that and brought our own. The wifi and TV worked well but had no Southern Oregon channels. Everything was clean. The beach was fabulous and only a short walk from the house. Unfortunately, bringing luggage up and down the spiral staircase was not the best part of the experience. Nonetheless, we had a fantastic get away at Sand Crab.

All around very nice place to stay. Comfy beds, good kitchen and bathrooms. Gotta be very careful on the spiral stairs. Could use darker shades on the west windows when it's sunny and hot. Fairly short walk to the beach.

The couch or rug in the living room smells so strongly of urine, we couldn’t even be in that room at all due to the smell. The house itself is awkward, the spiral staircase is inconvenient and uncomfortable to use.

Our Gold Beach Stay

This home is close to a great quiet beach. The home itself could use a little TLC after the summer's usage. The cleaning could have been better. But none of this was enough to stop us from having a wonderful time.

Affordable

The property was affordable and was just a few minutes walk to the beach. The home was clean and comfortable. My biggest issue with the home was the windows facing the ocean. It does have views to the ocean but the windows were too dirty to be able to get a nice clean view so it kind of took away from the whole view and sunset views. There wasn't enough charcoal left with the bbq grill for a cook so we had to run to the store to get some more but no big deal. Overall we enjoyed our stay but the windows being cleaned would've made a huge difference.
