「This was a lovely hotel and we had a great stay. We received a very warm welcome on arrival and also a welcome gift which was very well received. The room was great, a good size, clean and well maintained. The grounds were gorgeous. The Manor House is beautiful. The golf course was good and well maintained. The food was good, we had a nice breakfast and paid for lunch in the bar. The hotel has multiple games including table tennis, table football, pool and arcade games, space invaders,...

「We had a wonderful stay at The Retreat. The room was spacious and comfortable and we appreciated the pantries with complementary drinks and snacks. The facilities are high quality, with an elegant feel without being dated. Food was good in both restaurants, as was breakfast. The spa was very relaxing. Staff were friendly and helpful. 」

「We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and from booking to departure, I couldn’t ask for any more.
The staff added personal touches and were very attentive. Would highly recommend the Butler’s tour for a background into the history of this amazing house 」

「The furniture in the room was old fashioned and knocked around.
The bed was a double and to small for two people. It was also ultra soft and rolled to the middle.
Shower was good and powerfull, only had to climb over the bath. Toilet roll cheap.
Ok for a cheap night with no luxuries but nothing flashy.
Stayed 2 nights and both evenings had to got back to reception for the key card to be reactivated and receptionist had dissapeared.
Didn't use any of the other facilities.」
