"Traditional and slightly dated hotel. The accommodation was more than adequate and the food and service excellent. Its proximity to Keswick town centre is a bonus, especially as parking is free. After checkout we were told we could leave our car on the premises for the rest of the day if we so wished. "

The Staff: Every single member of staff we encountered was warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. From check-in to check-out, we were made to feel at home and very well looked after. "The hotel is ideally situated - while not being in an immediately picturesque location, its proximity to the M6, A66 and Penrith North Lakes railway station make it the perfect base for exploring the beauty of the Lake District in one direction and Yorkshire in the other. The staff are excellent, particularly in the FYR restaurant: friendly, helpful and attentive. The food is equally impressive and the hotel itself is clean, comfortable and a pleasure to stay in. "
