We thoroughly enjoyed a nice stay for a week at the Keep Cool Guesthouse. The amenities were as described online, and it was prettier in person. Debra made us comfortable and aided us when we had questions about the island and things to do. Everything was new and clean from the kitchen to the bed and furnishings. We cooked in a lot and enjoyed dinner on the balcony, enjoying the beautiful view. We will be back again and will stay with Debra as our host again!

home away from home

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Keep Cool Feb, 2023. I spent 12 nights here and it really was a home away from home. They have everything you should need to be comfortable. I stayed in the deluxe studio and the views were beautiful. The quality of the furniture, cookware, bedding, etc. was excellent. The accommodations are exactly as they have described. I did not have a rental vehicle and enjoyed my daily walks to the main road where i caught the minibus to Rodney Bay, Soufriere, Vieux Fort, Castries. If you don't mind walking and like feeling like part of the local community, I don't see the location as being a problem. It's out if the hustle and bustle of Gros Islet which is great to me. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. My original place I had booked canceled on me last minute and I'm so glad they did cause Keep Cool was way better.

The Keep Cool Guesthouse was conveniently located and a pleasant stay. it had all the amenities of home with the crisp and clean feeling of a hotel. Debra gave us a detailed walk through and provided assistance with directions and our baggage delivery. We would highly recommend it for another stay.

Clean and modern facilities. Friendly owner who is very helpful. Close to beach and top 10 attractions to visit in St Lucia. Save the money you pay for a resort and rent a car.

Excellent furnishings , to a very high standard,more akin to a 4 star hotel than a Guesthouse.The owners went out of their way to make the stay an extremely pleasant experience.Although a car would, as suggested by them, be useful,it is by no means essential.The beach is a 15 min walk and for farther trips Francis the local taxi is very accommodating.There are also two stables close by.Fautless.

Best guesthouse of gros-ilet !

Nos hôtes nous ont réservé un super accueil. Nous sommes arrivés en bus. Ils sont venus, nous chercher et nous ont montré toutes les commodités à proximité, les plages et le meilleur restaurant grillade de gros-ilet. De petites attentions nous ont été préparés (notamment la glace au coco maison de Debra). Nous avons passé un super séjour. Il y a tout le matériel nécessaire pour passer un extraordinaire séjour en famille (même un gaufrier miam miam) ou en couple. Debra et Mervin sont vraiment géniaux!

Best guesthouse for little money

We couldn't recommend this guesthouse more, was like staying in a 5 star hotel but more friendly. The house was decorated and furnished to very high standards and totally spotless. Debra is a great host, nothing too much trouble. Let us drop off our luggage very early when we arrived. Arranged taxis for us and even dropped us off at the airport. She does personal washing for guests twice weekly which is unheard of, made ice cream and cakes for us too. There is nothing to be faulted at all.

The most perfect 10 star guesthouse

We stayed here for 10 nights after we got married and couldn't have picked a better place to spend our honeymoon. The furniture and decor were what you'd expect in a 5 star hotel, absolutely immaculate and such a huge comfortable bed. Up in the hills near the cricket ground so perfect for watching the test. Although away from all the tourist spots it was an easy walk to get to the Marina, Rodney Bay and Gros Islet. Debra and Mervin couldn't have been better hosts, so friendly and welcoming. Debra even does personal washing for her guests twice weekly, which during 4 months travelling we have never been offered. Plus we got home made ice cream three times, a big box of chocolates for Valentine's day, and when she heard that carrot cake was Andrews favourite, she even made one specially on our last night. She also got up extra early to see us off and drove us to the airport when our taxi didn't arrive on time. Anyone going to St Lucia must stay here, you really won't regret it. I just wish they had one in every country.

A piece of paradise.

We were so spolied! Beautiful super clean and modern!! And even our laundry done... never saw that before. We could use the common kitchen that was really full equipped. We didn't want to leave. Debra took the time to show us a walking path. Thank you so much.
