"Wonderful updated lakefront cottage. Friendly and and generous host had stocked refrigerator with farm fresh eggs, milk and butter. Overall well-stocked pantry. Access via ferry is easy, fast, and free. Efficient ferry system takes less than 10 minutes and runs 24-7, so don't let that deter you. Convenient to both Cabot Trail and Louisbourg Fortress. Would stay again."

"We had a great stay here! Such a beautiful resort! Amazing sunsets from the dining room as we ate supper! But their staff were over the moon friendly! From the staff at the front desk who were so helpful and fun, the staff in the dining room were always so welcoming and were so easy to joke with and enjoy a laugh with and even the cleaning staff would visit and chat as we met them in the hallway. We found out as we stayed with them that the staff and the resort suffered damage and upset with the flooding three weeks before, but they were absolutely amazing to make sure our stay was perfect. I was so impressed by this resort and highly recommend them!"

"This Cape Breton "cottage" has everything you could hope for. Quiet, daily sightings of deer and red fox and eagles and other birds. The "magical" nature walk to Lake Bras d'Or added joy and whimsy and time for reflection. The water is crystal clear, and the air is so clean and fresh. The "little house" is homey, very clean, and has everything you need to cooks some meals, and enjoy a mug of coffee or tea. I brought oatcakes, but Cape Breton has no shortage of excellent bakeries (Aucoins and Cedar House are top of the list!). We did not even reach the Causeway til my husband and I wanted to U-turn and stay longer. We will recommend to friends we know who will visit Cape Breton, and we hope to be back someday too. Thank you Sandy and John for everything!"
