We were an extended family of seven. We had half board included. The experience of staying in a ryokan was wonderful. The breakfast and dinner served to us in our larger room was both generous in portions and delicious to taste. The children were given partial portions of the Japanese menu which they enjoyed. The service from all staff was gracious and friendly. The onsens were so beautifully located outside but were quite hot! We couldn’t fault our stay. What was wonderful for us was the skies cleared after days of rain and we saw Mt Fuji above the clouds. Who could ask for more! I highly recommend a stay at Musashino Bekkan.

The private onsen in our room and the one that is available to use was super relaxing and soothing after a long day of travel. The room was spacious and very cozy as well.

The accommodations were wonderful, beautiful property and onsens. We loved being able to reserve the private tubs, found them very relaxing and beautiful. Meals were wonderful and staff very helpful. If the hill up to the property is a problem, we found taking a taxi or uber very easy and cheap. Highly recommend!

The ryokan was not well maintained and felt quite dirty. When we were walking to the outdoor bath, we even encountered a snake. There was a strong unpleasant odor throughout the property, and the public bath area did not appear to be cleaned properly. Overall, the cleanliness and maintenance were very disappointing.
