Nice place clean and great location but things like the pull out trash cans and microwave were broken. They brought us a new microwave, that was also broken. Also, for the price we paid, there was minimal supplies, no shampoo or conditioner or soap in the bathrooms.

Great home - misleading photos

This home is great and made great use of the amazing home theater! Kitchen has two of everything which made cooking/cleaning a breeze. Beach and ocean were amazing to have in your back-backyard! Shortcomings however had to do with the backyard itself. Photos of the backyard specifically are a bit misleading. There is no grass. There must of been some sort of work done because it was all concrete. Which means we had to leash our dog to the front yard throughout the trip which was not expected or appreciated. Then the pool was downright hideous, there was a lot of trash and massive amount of sand in it. Someone came the day after our check-in without making themselves known to us, in the backyard and started what we thought was cleaning the pool. Instead they removed the sand but left all the trash floating around. Outside of the hot tub (which we weren't confident was cleaned either), we didn't get to enjoy the backyard much. Other than that, the house itself was beautiful and well maintained.

“Hatteras is Heaven”

This was our family’s first stay in Hatteras and we prefer it to our recent vacations in Avon. This home was a perfect size for our group of 10. We loved that it had an elevator for Grandma, a pool, media room and beautiful beach. We completed the Housekeeping survey when we arrived and found the house to be in immaculate condition. Our concern is that their was not a maintenance checklist we could refer to. We would suggest that one should be available to help the real estate co know the state of the house when the new renters arrived. This would help them In their attempt to keep everything as it should be. We failed to call them every time something came up, because we didn’t want a stream of repairmen in the home with babies napping. When we departed, we shared our list with the real estate company
