“This is an out-of-the-way gem (but easy to get to). Clean, and close to shore to hear waves crashing. Host was superb! Unit was smaller than expectation. Hard to use luggage rack and move around. Not so certainly about "see whales and dolphins" - but maybe it was wrong time of year. Checking and communication with host was great (5/5)!”

“Pros: Property was clean and smelled good as soon as you walk in. Big property, nice parking, quiet area, good location near major attractions. Cons: No sink in the kitchen. Especially annoyed that they ask for you to clean all the dishes before you leave. I don’t know what they’re thinking. Bathrooms are on the smaller side, and each bathroom has the smallest sink you’ll ever see, which would not have been a major problem if they did not ask you to clean the dishes in them. “The address we copied from VRBO brought us to the wrong place and the listing didnt seem to list the name of the condominiums we were staying at. No 1 was at the counter when we arrived for about 5 minutes so we were a bit unsure again if we were at the right place. The person checking us in was also a bit confused for a few moments but quickly found our reservation. Note: she was very pleasant and a great personality. “Great location and well stocked quirky and old-school funky apartment! Loved it, and was a perfect base for the three of us for a week in Hilo! Not a fancy place, but had everything we needed and was well stocked and had nice touches like a lot of plugs around! Nice and helpful host, too! Would stay again on a return trip!”

“We got in late, the lights in the parking area not working and such limited parking left, it was almost impossible to get our car in. The rest of the stay was fine. We Loved hearing the tree frogs and is close to the National Park.”

“Communication was excellent and check-in was very easy. We had a ground floor room, which was what we needed, but I think the second floor would have a view of the bay. Our lanai had a hammock and lots of visiting birds. The room itself was thoughtfully appointed.
