Amazing all around

We had such a great experience. The condo is clean, up-to-date with great views. The pools and beach are also excellent. Check in was a breeze and underground parking was a great bonus. Would definitely stay here again!

Amazing views!

We had a wonderful stay in this unit. The views are amazing and the resort amenities were great. We loved watching the whales from the porch and each sunset was more beautiful than the last. Property is well-equipped (thank you for the beach chairs!) and very comfortable.

Fantastic visit.

The property is really nice and welcoming when you open the front door. All the beds were comfortable and the linens very soft. The kitchen was well equipped and a few condiments left in the refrigerator to use. This location is just north of Kaanapaili beach proper, so close to a lot of good things. We had a wonderful family vacation.

Great location, great facility, and the condo is perfect for an extended family

Lots to do within walking distance, and central Lahaina is just a short drive away. Beautiful ocean views from every room. Now that I have experienced a Honua Kai condo vacation I will not be going back to the standard resort. Kudos to Barry and his staff for an outstanding Maui experience.

4 nights in paradise!

The condo was very well furnished and was more than enough space for our family of 7. We enjoyed the lanai every morning for breakfast. The pools were great with plenty of loungers so seats were always available. Good snorkeling was only a couple minute walk down the beach. Definitely, recommend this condo and resort!

Perfect getaway, no stress

From the moment we opened the door to the time when we had to remove our wristbands, it was a magical vacation. The unit was the best from coffee on our lanai to pictures of amazing sunsets, it was so great. We hope to come back and will be staying in this great unit:)

Beautiful Condo

This is a beautifully appointed condo with and exceptional view--wow! We were lucky to stay while the whales were very active and spent every morning on the lanai with a cup of coffee and a whale show! Our group of 6 fit very comfortably and Steve was excellent to work with. We look forward to coming back, hopefully sooner than later!

Paradise with a view

This condo was everything and more! Our whole group said “wow” when we first walked in and saw the view. High end amenities, spacious, perfect location. We were also checked on throughout our stay. Truly top notch from beginning to end. We already miss this place and watching the whales. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing!

This place is amazing, I was traveling with my family and it was great to all be together while still having enough space for all of us. We could have never left the balcony, the view is spectacular. The management company was great, I was bringing my 20 month old and they made sure there was a high chair and pack-n-play in the room when we arrived, we didnt even ask for it and it was greatly appreciated :) You will not regret staying here. I cant wait to come back!

Spectacular stay

Our group of six adults could not have been happier with this property. It had all of the amenities promised and the view from the lanai along with its roominess were perfect. The kitchen was well stocked and we did cook a few meals in it. Large bedrooms and baths were perfect. The property was clean and there was more than enough to do while on site with all of the pools, hot tubs, Dukes and the beach. The only issue we had was there were not enough electronic keys for our whole group at check-in but that was taken care of pretty quickly. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful

Fantastic experience. A few small blips but all handled quickly and efficiently. Maid tried to kick us out at 10 but 11am was check out. But she waited for 11. So lovely. I highly recommend.

View from 929 is Amazing!!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Honua Kai unit 929. Nice to be greeted by Barry on our arrival. Steven and Barry are great to work with. Barry did a great job explaining everything we needed to know. The condo was nicely furnished and was perfect for our family. Grounds are well maintained with an impressive lobby. There is also well equipped gift and convenience store on site. I will be back!!

Perfect Family Vacation

It was my retirement trip. We took out adult children for 3 weeks. The condo is perfect for a large group. It was nice that each bedroom had a bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked with quality pots and pans if you choose to cook. This is our third time at this resort condo. It has a large number of pools. The restaurant has staff that will bring you food and drinks at the pool. You know how you watch the home shows and folks say, I would have coffee out there every morning? Well the Lani was the host to breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails. The view was gorgeous. And of course, you are in Maui... its paradise.

Gorgeous resort/condo! Much nicer than pictured!

5 stars for the resort, the condo, the grounds, the on-site restaurant (Duke's) and the personalized assistance we received from Barry and Steve. From the moment we approached the resort, we quickly realized that we were about to be very pleasantly surprised! Entering the lobby (and later the condo) only confirmed that the listing pictures (beautiful as they are) do not do this place justice! At no point during our stay did we question what an amazing rate we received for this rental! The finishes and appliances were all higher end, the unit was clean, all 3 bedrooms are oceanfront (2 are masters), 1 bedroom has a walk-out to a large, nicely-furnished balcony. The patio doors are accordion-style, which allow them to fully open up, and have very nice filtering screens! We would absolutely stay here again!

Great vacation

The property was beautiful and comfortable and had everything we needed. We had a 10 night stay and it was disappointing to have to pay for a towel refresh. I would think that new towels should have been provided after a week or halfway through our stay. Also we couldn’t use the TV in the master bedroom. Neither remote worked so the only way to turn it on was to do it manually, but couldn’t change channels. The management company was very responsive and brought us a baby booster seat and had a pack n play ready for us in the unit. It was the best location with a beautiful view! I would stay here again!!

Absolutely perfect!

Our family of six (with our two adult children and their significant others) stayed in Suite 929 for 5 nights and absolutely loved it! The view was wonderful, and sometimes we had to "force" ourselves to leave the huge lanai to go out and do other things. (From our lanai, we could even see whales pass by!) The suite itself is beautiful and clean. The bedrooms were quite large, and the beds were very comfortable. We cooked most of our dinners there, and ate all those meals (plus breakfasts) at the table on the lanai. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. There were plenty of beach chairs, etc. available for those wanting to head to the beach instead of the wonderful pool(s) at the resort. Beyond the suite, the beach walk (that goes on for miles) is handy and very nice. Also, we were able to walk to the grocery store for anything we needed. The management people for our condo were good at checking in with us to see if there were any problems or just to see how we were doing. It was an awesome place and we would go back in a heartbeat!

Maui is Perfect!

Our 3-bedroom VRBO condo, 929 Konea, in Honua Kai Resort & Spa, was perfect. The owners provided virtually everything we could have asked for to make for a perfect stay. Our unit, on the 9th floor, looked straight out over the resort grounds and our view continued to the beach and ocean. Each of the three bedrooms had that view, and the master bedroom opened onto the very spacious lanai. The lanai was also accessible from the living room of the condo. We enjoyed breakfast on the lanai every day before moving on to nearby snorkeling, land excursions, and more. We'll be back, and will certainly consider Honua Kai Resort & Spa in our planning. Things to consider as you plan: (1) Shop for groceries near the airport when you arrive--Costco, Whole Foods--as there is less availability closer to the resort. (2) The Snorkel Store rents state-of-the-art equipment for 10-day periods. We got our money's worth and more. (3) Road to Hana is an all-day commitment. Plan ahead so you're not driving back to the resort on the curving one-lane roads in the dark. (4) Resort/condo check-out time is 11 am. Our flight to the mainland didn't leave until 9:30 pm. Plan accordingly. We asked the resort and the rental managers about day rooms and found none. We simply carried all our luggage with us on a last day of adventures, but you might want to book an extra night (and only use part of it) or explore other options. (5) We rented a hybrid car from a local agency--Bio-Beetle ECO Rental Cars--and not only reduced our carbon footprint, we go a better deal than through conventional car rental agencies that offered NO electric or hybrid vehicles.
