From the outside the buildings look lovely, the room was very spacious but very dated (furniture, bed, tiles, shower etc) its clear that some work is being done to the hotel. Check in was simple and our keys were in a lock box (fab idea) The room had everything, kettle, cups, ironing board, iron, trouser press, heater, fan, hairdryer. Plenty of parking, close to the train station. Breakfast was included in the price, it was continental but you could order hot food for an extra cost. The staff were happy enough. It will be fantastic when all yhe work has been completed. It's a shame they done have a restaurant or Bar. We would be happy to stay there again

A lovely and very reasonably priced hotel. Rooms on two floors set in well maintained grounds. A good continental buffet breakfast was included with option for cooked breakfast made to order. Well located for walks on Grand Union canal, walking or cycling in the Chilterns and 5minutes walk from Hemel Hempstead train station. Would definitely use again.

The place was nice the lodges were good. The main downside was tbe breakfast. Continental only on Monday. Not a huge amount of choice plenty of toast but this wasn't anything special. Plenty of places surrounding if you want to eat elsewhere though.

The room was clean but very outdated The toilet struggled to flush effectively The shower head because of wear could only be used in one position but plenty of hot water Personally I don’t like not having a human check in they had a key box and telephone to complete this The staff were very efficient and friendly at breakfast The continental breakfast was good with a good quality choice If you wanted a cooked breakfast this had an additional cost The parking was sufficient The location met our needs and Han a good Grand Union Canal work very close leading to some good pubs to eat The downside to the location was the constant and incessant traffic noise

Excellent location for the station, only 5 minutes walk and regular trains back and forth to London (we visited Troubadour Theatre and the Designer Outlet at Wembley Park). There is no front desk in the afternoon/evening but the key collection by phone and key box is easy. Nice continental breakfast included with toast, croissants, fresh fruit, muffins yoghurt etc, and you can pay £7 to £10 for a cooked breakfast to order, served in the gate house which is a listed building. Staff are ao frienly as well! Rooms are a in a row with a couple upstairs. We had the small double on the ground floor which was fine for an overnight stay and quiet as away from the road. Shower was the most powerful we have ever had. Free parking on site, with two disabled spots.

The room was worn out and filthy, even the bins weren’t emptied from the previous guest . Noisy early in the morning as workmen in white vans stay here . The photos are misleading as the conservatory fell down ! Left after one night , promised a refund for second by owner in person but never received it despite chasing . Never said this before but avoid here .

Really nice quiet rooms..like little chalet/cottage rooms. Very clean and was warm in the room as we arrived later due to travelling from Wembley . Comfy clean bed.Bathroom spotless and very nice, lovely soft towels. Breakfast we had to go into the main part of the building, was met by lovely staff. My husband had full English breakfast and I had the continental breakfast. Spoilt for choice! Everything was great. Will definitely stay again if we need to travel to London..which is only 35 mins away.
