  • This lovely riverfront cabin is located along the Hiwassee River. Built in 2006, this cabin has nearly 2,000 sq. ft. of living space. The cabin was remolded in June of 2022 with all NEW furniture and appliances! There are 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The master bedroom is located downstairs and features a NEW king-sized bed. The master bath is adjacent and includes a jacuzzi tub and a separate shower. The two upstairs bedrooms are both furnished with two NEW queen beds in each room. The second full bathroom is also located upstairs. The living room and all bedrooms are equipped with TVs with internet capability. Netflix and YouTube TV are provided.

    The cabin is equipped with a main-level laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer. The kitchen is equipped with NEW appliances for cooking, and there is a large dining room table for family meals. The open concept living room includes a fireplace.

    The true gem of this cabin is the rear covered porch with rocking chairs, TV, and a hot tub for relaxing with a cup of coffee or enjoying a beautiful sunset. A charcoal grill is also available. Walk down to the river to go tubing, trout fishing, or build a campfire. There are two automatic fish feeders on the property so, trout are always nearby. Trout are also stocked just up the river making this a prime fishing spot. If you just want to cool off, enjoy our community swimming pool (available Memorial Day-Labor Day).

    Our location is just minutes from Lake Chatuge, boat rentals, grocery stores, local boutiques, restaurants, and a hospital. It is also close to Brasstown Bald, Helen (15 miles away), Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, Golf Courses, Spas, Appalachian Trail, NE Georgia Wineries, Zip Lining, Gem Mining, White Water Rafting, Waterfalls, and Scenic Mountain Driving.

Relaxing Get Away

The home was a in a great location. We were close to town, the lake, hiking trails, water falls, and many other activities and locations. Additionally, when we weren’t in a hurry to go somewhere, we enjoyed the creek that was right behind the house, fire pit, community pool, and just sitting on the porch.

If you are looking for a tranquil place to rest and relax I highly recommend this cabin. It was extremely clean, updated, in a quiet location. It is in a good proximity to town. We will definitely be visiting it again!

Great family getaway!

Great location, so close to Helen and many historic sites. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable furniture, large dining area. Lovely view from porch, hot tub, rocking chairs. Walk to beautiful Hiawassee river, fun for kids and adults.

Very conveniently located to a lot of great parks, town of Helen, Lake Chatuge, close to grocery store. Loved sitting by river and having a fire, making s’mores. The home was just lovely. Would go again.

We loved our stay at this cabin! The place was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the back porch and walking around the property down by the river. We hiked some beautiful trails and visited nearby Helen which was a lot of fun. The owner was friendly and responsive. We had a wonderful vacation!

What a great cabin. Immediately my flatlander(FL), suburban kids were like "we could totally live here!" The cabin was spacious and had everything we needed for a fun few days in the area. The proximity to the river kept my husband entertained for hours. It's in a great location to get to all the area's sites to see from Lake Chatuge to Helen to Blairsville to a ton of hikes and beautiful sunset views. The cabin was well furnished with all your kitchen necessities to make a good meal and there were plenty of games for some good family fun. The back porch was great for sitting and watching the wildlife. We saw deer across the river and a playful groundhog along the riverbank. We had a small issue figuring out the fireplace and Doug helped us sort it out right away. The cabins are closer together than the photos showed, but you still felt like you were pretty secluded. We had a wonderful time getting out of the craziness of Florida and are looking forward to visiting again.

Our family's happy place

This is our second time staying. Sara is a wonderful host. The home has plenty to do and is always clean (fishing, swimming, tubing, hot tub, fire pit, etc.) but if you want to adventure some there is plenty to do for reasonable cost (horseback riding, lake Chatuge, hiking, waterfalls, zip lining, snuggling capybara, etc.). Always a wonderful vacation for our family. We are planning again for next year!

Beautiful weekend

We came up for the weekend for a wedding. This was a wonderful trip, we had a great time with the family and this was a great location for us. The cabin was beautiful and sitting on the back porch was a great treat. One caught a beautiful trout and that was a wonderful experience for her. The cabin is in a very quiet area but close to town and very convenient to the restaurants. Would highly recommend staying here.
