“One of a kind place amidst forest and reserve. Wood cabins gave a wonderful feel and the stay was very comfortable. It has all the necessities, and they also provide room service cleaning. Lots of animals and birds that you can see within the property. We saw Toucans, hummingbirds, parrots, spider monkeys, agouti etc. Would definitely come back!”

“Stunning views from restaurant and room across as far as lake Arenal. All the food offerings were fantastic from breakfast to evening meals using home grown and home made items. Regular supply of wildlife to keep you entertained. Only slight negative was a reasonably long walk up a steep hill to get to the nearest shops etc but that’s no fault of the hotel. Also be aware there is no A/C in the rooms if you are as lucky as we were with the weather.”

“Kids voted this the best place we stayed! They enjoyed having their own private mezzanine complete with bean bags and games. We enjoyed the tranquility of the surroundings. Basic supplies like coffee and cooking oil provided do you can easily self cater. ”

“I had an absolutely amazing stay. I loved the common areas! Spent tons of time in the hanging chairs reading and enjoying the view. Great proximity to the town, most dinner places/restaurants are walkable. My personal room was clean and spacious and the breakfast was great! Everyone was very friendly and genuinely wanted to help. I missed my bus back to the airport and Ro at the front desk immediately helped me come up with a new plan based on the local resources and even called me a taxi and……

Although we didn’t have a room with a balcony, we still had access to it, and the flowers and scenery from there were absolutely beautiful. The lounge area, with its cozy wood-burning fireplace, made the whole place feel warm and inviting. My daughter took every opportunity to curl up there with a book and relax between our excursions.”

“We loved our stay at your spacious little apartment. The room was perfect and the plants and trees there were beautiful. Our host, Arelys, was very knowledgeable and helpful in planning our outings. Her experienced husband took us on a night walk in the cloud forest and taught us a lot about the local flora and fauna. It was very educational and a lot of fun. Pura Vida! ”

“Pour ce court passage à Monteverde, nous avons choisi une chambre privée qui était très propre, avec une salle de bain complète et privée et un lit vraiment très confortable! L'accueil à été génial. L'ambiance est plutôt calme et axé sur de belles habitudes de vie saine. Le café/ restaurant adjacent est vraiment délicieux!! Une fois stationné, tout est accessible à pied. Notez que la ville de santa- Elena est en montagne. ”

“Good property and location. Room wasn’t quiet at all. Fan was loud and couldn’t use. No air conditioning. Wind outside was knocking things around. Shower temperature was difficult to adjust. Parking was limited and obstructed by some construction stuff.”

“Everything was great! The view is awesome, the location is great, and the hot tub feels very nice. Just a warning—if you hit the “water” button on the tub when no one is in the seats and the tub isn’t full yet, the jets might hit the opposite wall above the door 😂.”

“Ein wahres Juwel in Monteverde! Diese Unterkunft war eines unserer Highlights auf unserer Rundreise - obwohl wir auch in anderen tollen Hotels untergekommen sind. Die ganze Anlage ist wunderschön gemacht mit einem eigenen kleinen Wanderweg und einer kleinen Kaffeefarm (den Kaffee gibt es zum Frühstück). Der gemütliche kleine Wellnessbereich mit Whirlpool und Sauna liegt malerisch im Wald und ist super nach einem Besuch im Nebelwald. Unsere Hütte war sehr geräumig und richtig gemütlich. Der Blick……

“Here’s a sharper complaint: > This property is a family-run B&B, not a 4-star hotel. With only 6 rooms, the experience was far below what was advertised and what the Expedia/Google listings led us to expect. Our room had an extremely loud creaking floor, which made it feel cheap and poorly maintained. It may be acceptable for some travelers, but for the price, it was not worth it and definitely not the upscale stay we were looking for. ”
