Knoxville High Ground Park Hotels

"Overall, this is a nice property near the UT campus. The room and bathroom are clean and modern, which was great for our two-day stay. We enjoyed the restaurant as the staff was attentive, bar tender was friendly, and the food was good. The only issue I had with the property was the high valet charge of $40/night. We stayed on a weekend and were instructed by the front desk that there was not self-parking option and valet was mandatory. I spoke to the reception about this and they tried to explain it but as an out-of-town guest, it would have been nice if the reception desk was more transparent with parking options, as this is a sign that a place truly cares about its guests, instead of gouging them for $40/night for parking. This is Knoxville and there are plenty of low cost parking areas, including a garage that is an 8-10 walk. Based on the valet charges, this will not be my first choice when staying in Knoxville."

"The staff was amazing! Tony in the bar was great! Made me drinks until I couldn’t walk to my room. The only negative things or issue I would say is they don’t have a complimentary breakfast and for $300 a night- they should feed you breakfast. Also, they wouldn’t valet our truck which is ridiculous "

"We had a fantastic 2-night stay at The Oliver! Our room was comfortable and spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was the perfect location for us to visit our Vol at University of Tennessee and enjoy dinner and drinks around Market Square, Old City and Gay Street. We walked everywhere! My only complaint is that the stairs leading to the rooms were dirty and needed to be vacuumed. But…We would definitely stay again!"

"Absolutely would recommend this place! We came in for the Bassmaster Classic and this location and view was perfect! We couldn’t have asked for a nicer stay. Our only recommendation would be to offer a few more towels for 4 guests for 5 days. Also, a few more rolls of toilet paper, washing machine pods, along with a few more dishwasher pods. Maybe for description purposes inform perspective renters what will need to be purchased or what is offered. Overall, wee has a wonderful stay and our host Jack was extremely helpful! Thank you!"
