Great place to stay for the Peak District. Stylish, traditional rooms with excellent food. Pubs serving food this good are becoming much harder to find. Our second visit and already looking forward to the next.

Always a great stay, amazing staff, food is just just in one word delicious. All together it's our favourite place to stay when in Peaks. Prices of the rooms jumped really high over last 2 years, so not sure if we'll be staying there next time, but definitely recommend.

A pub with 4 rooms with real character, comfortable bed and surprisingly quiet overnight despite being at a road junction as it is a small village off the main road. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice for both carnivores and veggies, all freshly prepared, but only served 8.30-9.00. The food in the evening was so good I ate there both nights I stayed there - they have a good chef who clearly prides themselves in sourcing quality ingredients and presenting them well at surprisingly reasonable price. Convenient location with easy access to walking and tourist attractions such as Chatsworth House.

Spacious, clean and comfortable room. Kettle and coffee machine with good supply of tea, coffee and fresh milk. Staff friendly and efficient. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. Lovely location for a walking break - we appreciated use of the pub car park before check-in/after check-out. Would stay here again in future.

A lovely pub on the corner of the village street in Foolow. We were able to sit outside on a lovely evening and enjoy our drinks and evening meal. Very comfortable bed and en-suite. Quiet at night. Coffee machine and fresh milk available. Delicious breakfast with local ingredients.Gentle pastoral scenery around with Cows, Hares, Swifts. Parking available in pub car park with staircase up to the rooms.
