“We loved staying in Charlie’s property. It was very clean and well maintained and was a gem. Parking was tricky round the back but plenty of on street parking was available. A few trips down the hill into town certainly built the glutes on the return up the hill! Highly recommend Stones restaurant and Sourdough Dave’s bakery for bread in the morning. Matlock is a lovely town and well positioned for walking (Dovedale, Edale, etc all within 30mins) or visiting Bakewell or Chatsworth House.Perfect……

Property advertised for up to 10, but would think it could be a bit of a squeeze unless several of party were small children. There were 6 of us and it was perfect size”

“If I had to find a criticism it would be for the glass door in bathroom in ground floor bedroom!! Nobody needs a glass door to the shower and toilet!!”

“The apartment was spacious and very comfortable in a beautiful and tranquil garden setting. Access to many walks from the property - no need to drive every day. Interesting market towns nearby and some National Trust properties an hour or so away. Youlgreave is in walking distance- 3 pubs serving food and some shops with local produce. ”

“The road up is definitely steep. And hard to park. But its a great location. Close to the cable cars. The house is kind of oddly decorated but was clean and loved the view from the table outside in the morning.”
