「Sehr schönes Zimmer. Das Personal sehr, sehr nett. Mitten in den Weinbergen gelegen - sehr ruhig und privat. Zwei Pools, sodass keiner von beiden überlaufen ist. 」

「A really lovely stay, felt like a home from home with the staff when we arrived. Everything very clean and tidy. Breakfast options excellent, fresh and tasty but a little slow depending on when you went down. Pool area great, only strange thing was the pool cleaner and pipe was left in 24/7 so you had to swim around it. Pool was immaculate though because of it 😊 Would definitely recommend and will stay again when visiting! 」

「Comfortable bed, spacious room and very friendly & competent staff. The location, on a walking distance to the city center of Stellenbosch, is also perfect. Only negative: the pool is a bit smaller than on the pictures, you can't swim a lap in there. Also had some problems with the AC.」

「Hawksmoor House ist ein klassisches, 300 Jahre altes Capholländisches Bauerngehöft. Wir waren zuerst im Herrenhaus untergebracht, dann in einem Nachbargebäude. Beide Zimmer waren ausserordentlich schön. Der Service war sehr freundlich. Zu bemängeln gab es nichts. Allerdings sollten Reisende wissen, dass die Anfahrt über einen unbefestigten Weg erfolgt. Wifi gibt es nur im Herrenhaus. Nach einer Corona-Pause könnte hie und da die Fassade frisch gestrichen werden. Aber dies sind wirklich winzige...

「Impossible for hotels.com or for you to get in touch with the property prior to or during your trip so hope you arrive in their checkin window or it's a nervous bust to figure out what you're going to do with your bags. For that reason I don't think it's worth the hassle because I was very stressed about this and hotels.com staff also couldnt' connect with them at all. Once/if you check in though the place is amazing and the cleaning people are incredibly nice. Property is very secure and safe.」

「Beat all of our expectations, and they were pretty high from reading the reviews! Accommodation is brilliant and has all amenities we could wish for. Great breakfast and we tried the lunch here last day, also superb. But the by far best thing was the staff. We were made to feel super-welcome and got great recommendations for dinners, winetasting and trekking. 「Pool was enjoyable. Rooms modern and very clean, comfortable bed and spacious. Staff very friendly and hospitable. We would definitely stay there again when visiting Somerset West. Location also convenient and close enough to the highways to Stellenbosh and to the N2 to Cape Town or George. 」
