We recently stayed at this VRBO rental and encountered several issues that marred our experience. Upon arrival, we immediately noticed that the AC units were ineffective in cooling the rooms. Investigation revealed that the bedroom window was improperly sealed with a makeshift "shower curtain," allowing outside air to enter freely (see attached photos). As professionals in home maintenance, we also discovered severely clogged air filters in both the split unit and floor unit, indicating neglect in upkeep.
Furthermore, the property had a pest problem, as evidenced by roaches found in the bathroom, living room, and kitchen areas. Basic cleanliness was also lacking, exemplified by a dirty coffee pot that hadn't been properly cleaned as well as floors in bathroom and bedroom.
Additionally, guests should be aware that using a blow dryer in the bathroom simultaneously with the AC and fan in the bedroom can trip the breaker.
Despite our efforts to leave the property in good condition by washing all linen and removing kitchen and bath trash, these maintenance and cleanliness issues significantly detracted from our stay.
