Clean and convenient

The house is just as pictured! We had a perfect stay for our family of three and a dog. The amenities were perfect and the communication from our host, Frank, was clear and easy. Being right on the small lake was so peaceful - the neighborhood is lovely and super quiet with mostly families and retirees. We loved how close we were to everything and can’t wait to return again soon.

Nice and convenient

We spent a week in Katy seeing friends. This home was very nice and in a quiet neighborhood as well as convenient to get around the area. Walking trail around the nearby lake was great for taking our dog out for a little exercise.

Overall the house is nice, the neighborhood was great! Other than that things didn’t go well…the ac never worked quite right and the instructions given were very unclear. The property wasn’t very clean (dishwasher full of dishes when we got there!). They gave us 4 towels for 3 people for almost 5 days?!? The towels and linens were AWEFUL. The car in the garage and cameras and locked off master gave me an uneasy feeling the whole time. Then there was the ac repair man that showed up one morning…just not our best VRBO experience over all. NO cleaning supplies provided - I couldn’t wipe the counters or anything after cooking except with dish soap. I bought a new kitchen sponge because the one provided was disgustingly old and dirty. We won’t stay again

Maybe the worst experience ever on this app.

A family funeral brought me and my family to town. When you walk in, the “office” is a card table. It was next to a large blowup mattress that took up half the living room. We were told to “ignore it, but if we use it they will charge a fee”. My toddler discovered several cabinets full of cleaning chemicals. The cabinet locks advertised must no longer be available. I was intrigued by the listing boasting bidets in the bathrooms. What a design choice! I realized that the rusty metal cylinder snaking behind the toilet was in fact attached to a DIY kitchen-style sprayer head. As long as you have a tetanus shot, you could spray your bits clean! Surely the hot tub advertised can make up for the shortcomings. Oddly, it seemed to be missing? When reaching out to the host, he explained that the bath tub gets hot water, thus is a hot tub. I guess I could use the 3 foot rusty metal toilet hose to act as a bathtub jet, but on my way to the bathroom the door handle of my bedroom fell to the floor, locking me in for a brief time.The curtain rod is falling off the wall, so it was difficult to avoid sun streaming in in the early hours. Overnight there was a coldsnap. The fireplace on the listing should warm us up! Unfortunately, despite finding the gas key, it didn’t work. In check out, the host accused us of peeing on the sheets? The only thing more fun than this house was the funeral we went to during our stay.

This was our second stay at this property. Nice quiet location with access to neighborhood walk spaces for our dog. Convenient to most Katy locations. Frank is an excellent responsive host.

This is a lovely house with a beautiful backyard. The covered outside sitting area has an outdoor grill and sink. It’s perfect for a couple or a small gathering. We enjoyed having our morning coffee there. We were in the area for our granddaughters high school graduation. It was a nice place to relax from all the hustle and bustle; yet convenient to stores, shopping centers , eateries and a movie theater.

A perfect home away from home

Our stay was really wonderful. We enjoyed grilling and hanging out in the beautiful backyard. The kitchen was well equipped and we attended our family functions well rested. The house is close to all of the amenities Katy has to offer. Frank was very kind and responsive.

Nice location and property but could use some changes

The home was perfect for our needs. The linens were clean as was the bathrooms. The floors however had clumps of dog hair all over to where i had to vacume and sweep as soon as we got there. That was really gross and disappointing. Also the rooms availabile tonstay in are 2 guest rooms in which the 4 of us all had to share 1 bathroom to shower in. It would be better to clearly state that the master bedroom is not available to use so guests know what to expect. Other than that the pla e was great.

The house was beautiful inside and out. Perfect location quiet neighborhood. The kinda neighborhood we could live in. We felt safe during our stay and Frank the owner was very friendly and would message me right back. We are from Cincinnati Ohio and came here to go to rodeo and visit our friends after our stay we are thinking of relocating here to Katy Texas. Texas forever.

Nice home but listing needs updated!

Mr. Frank needs to worry less about asking for a "5 star rating" and making sure that his property is as advertised. The listing says basic cable is included. After a few messages back and forth, Frank said "I think it got disconnected when upgrading TV set". Then I had to message him again because the propane tank was low and the one in garage was empty. After a few back and forth messages, he told me that I would need to fill the tank at HEB or Walmart!!! No offer to pay for it either!! Luckily we were able to get our meal cooked. Then I also asked about hot pads/pot holders and after more back and forth messages, he asked me to purchase some at Walmart and he would pay for them. The kitchen is not well stocked. It doesn't have a strainer for pasta; there are no regular glasses (just 5 wine glasses and plastic cups); cook wear is VERY used and some should be replaced; coffee maker doesn't brew full cup of coffee--have to keep pushing the button to get full cup; they provide 2 bathroom wash cloths to be used in kitchen (no kitchen towel, dishcloth or sponge); no hot pad/pot holders; ice maker doesn't work; there are cameras in the home which is very intrusive (you can disconnect but must turn back on when leaving) The positives: There are plenty of bath towels and washcloths. The bed was comfortable. Good location. Fenced yard is nice for pets.

Wonderful Home

What a wonderful Experience. We really loved the home. We hope it is available every time we take a trip to the Houston area. I just can't say enough about how nice and comfortable this home is. Tasteful decor, comfortable beds, and a great view from the backyard, what more can you ask for.
