「Will definitely be coming back. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Food was amazing. Truly enjoyed my time in the pub and making friends with the locals! Highly recommend this place as a solo traveller as they make you feel extremely welcome!」

「The stay was wonderful and we were treated with personal care. The only negative was that our room needed a little bit of repairs, given that the building is several hundred years old. Everything worked fine, but there were a few creaks in the floor that were in need of attention. The issue was limited to our room. The rest of the building appeared to be in great shape. By the time a reader sees this comment, the issue may have already been taken care of.」

「All the staff super friendly and the room was very big and clean. The mattress wasn’t great though and the noise travelled through the rooms- people above were quite noisy. Would stay again but the bed could be comfier and hopefully not as noisy people above next time.」

「Very friendly, welcoming staff. The rooms have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Great choice of food, fresh ingredients and good choice. Highly recommended」

I let the person at the other end of the text messages know, and we were “upgraded” to another room (slightly larger and had a bathtub instead of a shower). This ...

「The hotel is easy to find and close to York famous city walls. The room is not too big but enough for single traveller. Reception lady is kind and offering help with my big luggage upstair. 」

「This hotel was vey horrible. The bed and quilt and bed are full of stain. The room, corridor and carpet are very dirty, they are full of sour smell (like vomit after drunk), the heater and exhaust fan are dusty, and a lot of louse and ants. 100% not recommend!!!!」
