「We enjoyed Glacier View and the Kilcher homestead immensely! The property is just magical from the walk down to the beach to picnic or the evening campfires with amazing views. Catkins cabin has everything needed and she is a gracious and entertaining host. This was our family's favorite part of our Alaska trip and are already planning a return stay. Don't hesitate to see Alaska's splendor and the amazing Kilcher Homestead!」

「Small cabin, just for 1 or 2 people. However, the stairs up to the bed on the upper floor are very steep. Very welcoming and friendly hosts」

「There were 8 of us staying on the property and we had plenty of room, beautiful views, and moose in the yard. It is a short ride to town, but nothing too far. The place was clean and shown as advertised. I wish we had more time at the property to do some exploring, but our travel plans changed due to weather and didn't get the chance. We did get to sit on the deck with the sun shining and enjoyed the view.」

「We were very disappointed, as it did not match the pictures. Property was unkempt and overgrown with weeds. The outhouse had cobwebs and was not very clean. The cottage was a bit rundown, and poorly supplied. There were no paper towels or tissues, and only 2 little kitchen towels and 1 washcloth, so it was difficult to maintain any decent hygiene, or even wash the dishes. If you are considering this place, bring towels and all your own supplies. 」

「Perfect for what we needed」

「Exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, comfortable, full amenities, and a fantastic view. There were moose in the yard almost every evening. Convenient to the Homer spit for fishing excursions. Highly recommend!」

「This house was great for my family about 15-20 minutes from Homer and had a rustic feel but with all the amenities. The host was very responsive and we would love to stay here again.」

「Wonderful well maintained cabin in the woods. Private and well equipped with everything you need. Great place to decompress and enjoy the peace and quiet. Catkin is a lovely hostess and she made certain we had everything we needed including great directions. Will book again next trip to Homer」

「Dave and Pam are wonderful hosts. Our VRBO was nice and clean, we had everything that we needed and more. The neighborhood was quiet and there were moose that came by in the mornings and evenings」

「The noise transfer from the upstairs was terrible and relentless. There were no instructions on how to use the TV/Dish. Dishes were chipped. Allowed dogs but there was no receptacle outside for cleaning up after the dogs. On the upside the unit has sufficient space, beds were comfortable, and linens were good. It was clean, and the host was thoughtful in providing tea and coffee.」

「Traveled to Homer several times, usually alone and stay on the spit. This time I brought family who wouldn’t have appreciated it as much. Found this little gem and we all had a grand stay! Highly recommend for all ages- thank you 😊」

「Good: rooms were big and airy. Bad: paid deposit at time of booking and the other half was supposed to be paid at stay but the 2nd payment was charged to my credit card a month before actual stay. Had 2 pull out couches, 1 the frame was broken and the other was uncomfortable 」

「We've rented quite a few places and this was the best! The view, the location, the deck, the privacy, and the cleanliness! It is also the little things that made it so great. We have never stayed at a place with so many condiments or with a grill that was spotless and ready to use. We hope to come back and highly recommend it to all.」
