Great short break with the kids. Lots to see and keep the everybody interested. Kids and adults especially loved the use of the golf buggies to travel around reserve at own leisure.
Property was lovely apart from the door not being able to lock which impacted my children's stay. Use of golf buggy was great and staff were really friendly.
Absolutely loved it - the views were spectacular, and being able to go round the park in the evening was just magical.
It's self-catering (which caught me out) but the restaurants are good.
The treehouse was clean, modern and functional and had an amazing view from the deck through the trees to the coast. The complementary golf buggy was a big hit with our kids but be aware it takes time to travel back and forth so make sure you pack lightly otherwise you'll have multiple trips with your bags to the treehouse as your car needs to be parked up for the duration of your stay. The complementary safari was great and the kids loved spotting the various animals. We ventured over to the sister wildlife park, Howletts, after we'd checked out and it was a great day out also. We'll definitely be back to both parks in the future.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
Treetop is a self contained unit accessed by some very steep steps. Paid £1200 for a 1 night stay. Shower jell container in bathroom was empty. Disappointment.
Access to food very badly organised. If you have not booked a restaurant reservation in the morning you will have no access to food.
Told by Perry at the Babydoll restaurant that despite there being many free tables they only have sufficient food in the restaurant to meet the morning reservations and no more. This is absurd for a restaurant that does pasta dishes and pizzas. This was at 6.30pm
When complained customer services on the phone said could find a reservation at the Garden Restaurant for 7.30pm but we would have to finish our meal within 30 minutes.Just unacceptable.
The park itself I like as it does appear to do a good job in the care of the animals.
Had a golf buggy to drive around the reserve but my wife and I did not use it as walking around on foot we preferred.
All the staff were very pleasant which includes Perry who had to defend their food / restaurant policy which is unacceptable. They need to revisit this policy on an urgent basis.
The food apart we enjoyed our stay
Great treehouse with buggy.
Up early to go around the park with the buggy.
Loved the clubhouse bar, toasting marshmallows over the fire.
We would return, loved the animals, grounds & restaurants too!
Amazing from start to finish. Every single member of staff was friendly and helpful.
Stayed in a great treehouse with balcony overlooking Rhino reserve.
We loved the Giraffe experience and our guide Casey was brilliant.
Being able to wake up and hear the lions in the morning or the monkeys calling made the whole experience magical well worth the trip, will be staying again soon
Great short break with the kids. Lots to see and keep everybody interested. Kids (and adults!) especially loved the use of the golf buggies to travel around the reserve at our own leisure.
Very disappointed that the treehouse accomodation was advertised as overlooking the rhinos. It was so overgrown we we unable to view anything.
Also there was supposed to be a mini bar in accomodation but there wasnt
No coffee
Tv remote didnt work and unable to watch tv
Stains on sofa
Walking down the treehouse stairs, one crumbled away and one of our party fell
The treehouse/clubhouse was supposed to be open to melt marshmellows and when we went at 8.30pm for the fire they asvised us they were closing
Blood stain on bedding
For the cost of this stay i expected 5 star accomodation

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
I should start by saying this isn’t our first break to Port Lympne.
What I can’t fault is the reserve itself-the concept, especially in terms of the variety of stay options, is unlike anything else out there.
However, I’ve rated this two stars because we’ve now had two back-to-back experiences where the upkeep of the facilities has really let things down.
We stayed in one of the treehouses (Sidonie), and for £1,250 a night, I expected far more. Unfortunately, the double bedroom was completely unusable due to an overpowering smell of damp and, frankly, rot. It was so unpleasant we ended up sleeping on the sofa.
We also raised concerns about the marble-topped dining table, which isn’t fixed in place and slides around dangerously-particularly worrying for families with young children. I have no doubt housekeeping is already aware of this issue and continue to overlook it.
The overall concept is fantastic, and the buggy provided is a real game changer. The tree house could be great if maintenance was prioritised.
At in this price point, Port Lympne really needs to deliver a higher standard.
To their credit, the manager did acknowledge our concerns and offered us a free day ticket to return. Still, I would strongly advise avoiding the Sidonie treehouse if you’re considering a booking or ask upfront if the problems have been resolves.
