“We booked this and one other Quito hotel for my wife’s special, ‘big birthday’ trip to Galapagos based on more than 40 Hotels.com 10/10 reviews. However, whilst the staff were all very pleasant and helpful, the hotel fell some way below what we, as fairly experienced international and third world travellers, consider to be quite reasonable expectations. It is located in a side street at the very edge of the ‘safe’ historic old town, to the point where locally-based lunchtime hotel diners……

“Old world charm in the historic center. We were able to walk to many sights and restaurants. The breakfast had fresh fruit and juices, a hot dish featuring regional cuisine, eggs, and a great selection of breads. Coffee, not so great. Shower was hot and very clean. Room 217 was noisy from plumbing or sump pump and no blackout curtains for sleeping. Overall an excellent hotel and very helpful staff.”

“El lugar tranquilo para descansar, pero carece de atractivo no tiene áreas de relajación y diversion, no cuenta con parqueadero lo que dificulta mucho la estancia porque hay que caminar mucho desde el parqueadero, deben trabajar en mejorar la variedad del desayuno. “A nice boutique hotel with great staffs. Location close to old town. Bed is comfortable and breakfast tasty. Two minor issues with my single room. First being no wardrobe. Second the bathing area is too open and water do spill out and wet the floor a bit.”
