「We very much enjoyed our overnight at Clontarf. The front desk was friendly and helpful. The food at knight’s bar was great. Our room was a little on the small side but it was clean and comfortable. 」

「I love this hotel. It is quirky and old, but well maintained. The signage was improved this time, and I was able to find my room easily. On a previous stay this was not the case, and I wandered around a bit. My room faced an alley and it got quite noisy, especially early in the morning. The radiator and towel warmer appeared to have leaked a bit, but worked well.The staff are just lovely, always helpful. 」

「Good location in the center of Kilkenny, walkable to everything. Parking garage is just up the street a minute walk away. The room was freezing and couldn’t get the space heaters to work because the front desk woman didn’t tell me that you have to put your room key card in some slot to get any electricity to work and then they still didn’t work. 「A must go midway place if you travel from Londonderry to Dublin (or vice versa). Reasonable price & good food in the bar & restaurant. If you drive there, your car can be parked next to your room, extremely convenient. 」
