"The villa more than lived up to the photos and descriptions. Stunning hilltop location that offered privacy, 360–degree views, and easy access to Matera and a couple of small charming towns, as well as day trips to the higher-profile tourist towns like Polignano, Alberobello, etc…. "Hello, we are a family of 4 from South America. We stayed at the Piccolina Vacation Home and it was excellent. Very nice place with nice kitchen and bathroom. Nearby there is a little Piazza to get a coffee, pizza and to do laundry. Also, very friendly neighbors and a supermarket nearby. There is a bus stop just a couple minutes away that takes you straight to downtown to see the Sassi. Great place!"

"This is an ancient city. It was fascinating to stay in one of the caves where people have lived for over 4000 years. But recently upgraded to modern day comforts and safety. The bedroom/living area is well appointed. The kitchen had everything one needed, and the bathroom had a shower in the cave wall that was as unusual as the city. I enjoyed my stay very much."
