“Upon check in we were kind of underwhelmed. The hotel is dated - the rooms are dated but clean. After further inspection - we realized the grounds were beautiful and well maintained. First we went to the bar to get a reposado shot. Unfortunately they didn’t have any. And we soon realized that the bar was quite under stocked. But they were so willing to bring in almost anything that we required. Then we went for dinner at the buffet - the food was just okay. But once we realized you could order……

“I was warmly received by the staff, and had a great weekend trip with all inclusive amenities. Fair warning to those hoping for a fridge and a microwave: these are not included but the buffet and free drinks available more than make up for this. I would recommend this place for any first timers in Vallarta. ”

“The pool only gets sun after 3pm. The hotel is very nice. You need your key to work elevator. Omar & Ivan are the shuttle drivers & are very friendly & full of information. Pool towels can be asked for at reception. Laundry is free to use but you have to book 24 hours in advance. There is a great restaurant within walking on Mexico ave (4 vientos reservation required)”

“The wifi is only in the common areas and not in any of the rooms, which is inconvenient, but not a deal breaker. Here’s the thing, I was not impressed by the front door but after you go into the actual courtyard, it’s much nicer than you’d think. The rooms are big and are in decent condition for the age and area. It is very convenient to walk down to the beach and excursions, and not be super high priced because it’s not right on the beach. ”

“This is a lovely hotel and the staff go above and beyond to make it so. Elisabeth, Oscar, and Raul were particularly outstanding in their attentiveness and kindness, but everyone we encountered was great. We stayed in a two bedroom suite and it was spacious and comfortable and luxurious. The balcony is more of an enclosed room with a small open window and a little foot pool, but it was fine because we were enjoying the rest of the resort all day. “The first 2 days we stayed in a terrible condo with no view of the outside, it gave us a very claustrophobic feeling. Luckily we were upgraded to a very nice studio.”

I maximized my stay with a swim in the pool, an extraordinary massage with Juan Carlos (truly a medicine man) followed by dinner beside the pool. “We were given the North Tower and we had a few bugs but nothing that really bothered us. Made sure to keep food in fridge and not out. No sun at pools until late and very hard to get a chair by the pool as there are none on the beach. Quite crowded. Food was good. Kids club was ok - we just sat around their pool with our little ones. had some sun there and lots of chairs so this was nice. Gorgeous view from the room and saw wales. Would not go back but I do love southern Vallarta.”
