Lovely Stay

Great bungalow with plenty of space for the 8 of us. Short walk to distillery which was a bonus and central location for exploring Islay. Beautiful views from the lounge.

Superb!

Such a comfortable, well stocked, and well organized house! Proximity to the beach was amazing. We had a wonderful stay with 4 adults, 5 kids. Clair was a very attentive and helpful host and we had an excellent stay.

We had a great time on Islay, house was great with nice views and close walk to the distillery. Weather was nice too so that’s an extra bonus. Will definitely be back.

This is a great location for Islay. Bruichladdich is just a few blocks away. You can look across the bay to see Bowmore on the other shore. The views were stunning. The house was everything we hoped for. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic House & location

Property has everything we would ever need for our stay! The location was perfect with amazing views and only 20mins to Bowmore for any shopping needs. Claire was responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

A fantastic Islay property.

This house was perfect for our group of four people. Lots of room, super clean, great views of Loch Indaal. Claire was very easy to work with. I'm sure we'll return.

New Year in Islay

We had a fantastic trip to Islay for New Year. Failte house was great and Claire was very helpful. The house was ideal for us, it had everything we needed and has beautiful views. The location is right in Bruichladdich, minutes walking distance from the distillery and a nice coastal walk to Port Charlotte that takes about an hour. I would definitely recommend this house for others to stay in. Few things that would of made it 5* - better showers.. they are not very powerful.

Great Location

House was as stated. Spacious hallway, 4 very decent bedrooms and one smaller twin room that would suit smaller children. All beds were excellent, very comfortable. Large dining table in the sun room off the large comfy living room with amazing picture window view over the beach and Loch Indaal. Location was amazing as we just had to cross the road (not busy) to get to the beach. We used the area everyday to paddleboard and climb the rocks. When we were done the boards stored in the garage along with our bicycles. Morning coffee on the front porch, kids playing on the lawn or on the beach. We had a great family holiday. Thank you Claire.

Great Whisky Weekend

We had a great weekend staying at the house for a stag weekend, and enjoyed exploring the area including distilleries, the Port Charlotte hotel for live music, and the next door cafe for excellent coffee and company

Mucky house - the landlord don't anderstand any

Story for reflection: If we went the first time into the house on Sunday we had to cleaned the floor and opened the windows and doors, the floor dried after a while. The pans are Dirty. One still had broccoli in it, the other was greasy! During our stay there were someone in the house who didn't clean up after work. Remnants of the wall plaster lie on the floor!

Great value group stay

Great value stay for a larger group, nice location with views over Loch Indaal. The house is well-equipped and has generous rooms, and Claire was a great host who was on hand to answer our queries.

Amazing location

We were a family of 7 people traveling all over Ireland and Scotland and we stayed in many VRBO's and AirBnB along our way - we all said this property was at the top of our list! One day we look forward to coming back and staying again for hopefully a longer time to explore more of Islay from this great location. I truly enjoyed having my morning tea with the sheep on the beach! Thank you again Claire for sharing your property with us!

Fantastic house in Bruichladdich

This house is so nice : it is clean, bright, modern look and feel with a ton of room! Amazing views in the morning upon sunrise overlooking Bowmore with Jura in the background. We had a great experience, and the house is ideally located to be able to see all of Islay and Jura.

Islay with friends

We had a wonderful few days on Islay! The House was ideally situated with beautiful views out on to the water and of friendly sheep who walked past every morning. It is within walking distance of the Bruichladdich distillery which is ideal for a cheeky gin & tonic or dram before closing. The rooms were tastefully decorated and the beds very comfy. Communally areas were clean and well equipped. The only thing that could have made our stay easier would have been a dishwasher. Claire was very helpful and gave us lots of tips on places to visit and eat which made our stay on this beautiful island even better.

Great location

This house was wonderful. We loved the location and the view was so great. For 4 people it was perfect. We had an issue with heat on arrival but the owner Claire took good care of us and got the problem fixed. The gathering room was wonderful every morning to wake up with the sight of this beautiful island. We brought a portable speaker and streamed music all weekend. We will definitely be back, it was perfect.

Amazing Stay on Islay!

This property is amazing! It had clearly all been redone very recently and is gorgeous inside! 5 bedrooms, 4 very large spacious rooms and a 5th with two singles. Beds were comfy and can be either separated or made into a large king. Bedding was beautiful and cozy. Large living room with space for everyone as well as a huge table to dine at. Kitchen has everything you need and there is a washing machine in the utility room. The best part though was the view... from the front and back! Out the back you have pastures with cows and sheep. The front is a gorgeous view of the ocean and the other side of Islay (Bowmore). The beach is steps away and our kids loved playing in the sand. The location is fabulous. Walking distance to Bruichladdich distillery and a small store. Easy driving to all the other distilleries and towns and no more than 30 mins from both ferry ports. Communication with the owners was fast and effortless. This property is truly beautiful and the owners have paid attention to all the details. Staying here made our stay on Islay truly perfect and relaxing, thank you for a wonderful long weekend!

The house was new inside and was in a fantastic location.

We visited Islay in late August and we easily found the house. It is close to a distillery and a corner store (both within walking distance). The owner was easy to deal with and left clear instructions. We were able to do laundry and then use the dryer in the garage. The wifi was also great as the kids used this for entertainment and I used it to do some work. You are just across the road from a beach and the water and you can see Bowmore across the Loch. We would highly recommend it.
