「This hotel is always our favorite hotel. We love the balcony that over looks the river. The rooms are comfortable. The beds are good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.」

「First let me say the room was clean and I didn't see any bugs, so those things are very important. The lady who checked me in was friendly. However there were some things that need to be improved. Construction/upgrading was going on, and I know that is necessary, but we were not aware, so you may want to check before you go. A lot of the parking lot was taken up with materials and vehicles. Breakfast was very disappointing because I had stayed at another BW in June and the breakfast was great....

「The inn is absolutely beautiful. Loved the huge front porch with the resident yellow cat, the game/puzzle room, and all the antiques in the hallways. The breakfast that was included was delicious and the dining area is beautiful as well. I was surprised how cool the inn stayed without any air conditioning. The ceiling fan and open windows kept us comfortable all night, even on the 2nd floor in August! The only downside was the mattress in our room - it was extremely firm with not much...

「We returned to find our room door wide open. They did not clean the room, remove used towels, or give us clean ones. No hot water for showers all three days. Call front desk no answer. Personal visit to front desk person was rude and only said about the water that a work order would be placed. We finally called the owner, because they said no money back for leaving two days earlier than booked. Owner gave us two days back and rate lower because of cold water for three days. 「If I could give Brook Trout Inn ten stars I would. Julie, her husband Steve, and their right hand woman, Holly, were welcolming, friendly and helpful. The facilities were spotless, the breakfast eggs were cooked to order with almost everything else you could ask for to start the day. Run, don't walk to this Inn the next time you are in the area and need somewhere to stay. Who needs a chain hotel when you can stay with what feels like family❤️?
