1700 Square feet of breezy vaulted-ceiling living space, with new tile floor and paint throughout. Refinished koa wood cabinetry in all new kitchen. Ceiling fans in all major rooms and lanai (5). Powerful whole house ventilating system reduces demand for AC. High quality linens, free Wifi, and air conditioning for an additional fee. Various sleeping options - can be set up as 2 kings and 2 twins, or 1 king and 4 twins. Second (top) floor unit has inside stairs to living area. Unit is adjacent to resort boundary, framed by high tropical foliage, with parking right outside the front door. I can’t say enough great things about this place! For a family of four we had plenty of space! The fam system worked out great for the cooler nights and the A/C was perfect for bringing the temp down in the condo! Kitchen has a coffee machine and a keurig, Lanai has the perfect view for watching the boats go out for the Manta Ray snorkel! Lots of birds and privacy from the other condos around. This unit is close to the entrance to the complex and one of the pools! The security staff was very friendly! We are already planning our next stay! I can’t get back soon enough!

Gorgeous Ocean View, Grounds, and Lanai

Our family had a wonderful time at this property at Kanaloa at Keauhou Bay! The ways crashing on the lanai were absolutely mesmerizing. We loved watching the surfers and listening to the waves crash. The grounds of Kanaloa were resort living and well maintained, but felt like a home more than a hotel. The 3 bedroom layout worked well for our family of 6. We cooked almost all our meals at the house and it was well equipped for all our cooking needs. We had such a great time exploring the island from our home base!

Good place in an unbeatable location

The absolute, hands down best thing about the place is the deck opening out right onto the black sand/lava rock beach/bay area. Head out first thing in the morning and watch the surfers and listen to the surf pound on the beach or watch at night as all of the swimming with Manta Ray tours are just off the coast. Just unreal sights. My second favorite part is the location away from the touristy part of Kona. That area is great if you want to do that stuff, so no shame if that's what you'd prefer, but being 15 minutes away in a more sedate neighborhood, while still having access to all of the restaurants/experiences etc. is far more preferable for us. Fewer crowds, easier to get to and park etc. The house itself is very nice, and their local person was very responsive when we had an issue. You won't be disappointed as the pictures on the listing are completely accurate. So if you want a place with a fantastic view, the exact kind of view that people go to Hawaii for in the first place, you can't beat this place.
