Kona Makai

Perfection in every way

Everything was perfect for our 7 day stay . The views are amazing. The condo has everything you need for a perfect stay . Perfectly located in Ali’i drive close to restaurants convenient stores….. will definitely come back for future trips to the big island :)

We spent nine days in this apartment. The apartment is nicely and cozily furnished. However, the sofa bed in the living room squeaks, which our children found uncomfortable. What was very disruptive were the construction works that took place in various apartments of the complex throughout our stay. We were promised that there would be no construction noise on the weekend, but this was not true. Additionally, the neighbors were sometimes too loud, which disturbed our stay. The complex is very well-maintained, and it is a pleasure to relax by the pool when there is no noise.

Lovely ocean view from the lanai - even saw dolphins one morning. AC in bedroom was the bomb... one in the living room struggled to cool things down enough for us cool-climate Oregonians! It was nice to have laundry in the condo. Well appointed kitchen if you wanted to fix your own meals (we just made morning coffee and english muffins).

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: we booked this for our daughters wedding trip. It was our first time using We had a great experience. I loved the security as well as how clean and neet it was kept. The property management was very nice and accommodating. If i had to suggest an improvement it would be that the Toilet paper ,soap were available to you if you run out. we bought our own. over all we would definitely stay there again.

Nice place, few issues

This was a nice rental. Location is ideal. It has air-conditioning in two rooms which is nice. We did have a few issues for maintenance which were dealt with by the maintenance company quite quickly. Only drawback to this place are: the morning light in the master bedroom is very bright, and there’s no curtains or ability to make the room dark in the mornings. The bed needs to have a replaced mattress and or frame or both. No condiments or other items for cooking so it’s less convenient then other places. Only salt and pepper. Pool closes at 9. Thank you

Kona Makai. So Beautiful!!

We cannot fault out unit or stay. The Unit was exactly as described and was very large for a single bedroom apartment. Kitchen, Laundry and Bathroom all fresh and modern. The view from the balcony, and sunsets from the Pool deck, Just next level. The gardens, and complex were meticulously maintained. So peaceful, and made for a very enjoyable stay in Kona, Hi.

We had a wonderful stay at this property, and it was just as described or even better! Everything went smoothly, and had no issues. The location is fantastic, and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the lanai and listening to the waves. Would definitely stay here again!

So close to the ocean! Loved the balcony.

Extended family in several rooms - great time!

Our children and grandchildren also stayed at this property and it worked out well for all age groups. The pool was nice and we were able to barbecue and all eat together in a common area.
