We loved our stay! There was a wide variety of activities, including a daily soccer game my boys joined several times. Family selection areas were great- we especially enjoyed the pool and bar/food options there. We booked a junior suite with private rooftop pool which had a beautiful view and great privacy. Our butlers were attentive, the service in the restaurants was excellent, check in and check out was seamless. We had a couples massage in the spa and our sons enjoyed the junior club while we relaxed on our own. We didn’t want to leave and will certainly visit other Palladium resorts!

Toda nuestra experiencia se arruinó gracias a la encargada de recepción de la sección Family Selection, me parece que su nombre es Lenny, desde el inicio a la llegada pedimos que nos entregue la habitación si era posible un poco antes, porque veníamos cansados de viajar y nos dijo que el check in es entre 3 y 3:30, esto lo entendimos y esperamos el tiempo indicado por la plataforma 3pm, sin embargo pese a que la habitación estaba lista ella se esperó hasta que nosotros nos acerquemos para darnos el check-in, teniéndonos enfrente no tuvo la cordialidad de acercarse a informarnos. Nuestro check-out fue también con ella, y pedimos media hora de late check-out aun que sea pagando por medio día, sin embargo se cerró a negarnos nuevamente la solicitud y obligándonos a dejar la habitación a las 12pm. Su razón fue por ocupación en la habitación, he sido hotelero por más de 15 años y se que de haber querido ella hubiera podido atender a nuestra solicitud, asignando a la llegada a otra habitación en lugar de la nuestra, pero su falta de cordialidad y sensibilidad por atención al cliente no le permitió ver esto, cabe mencionar que revise en línea y nuestra misma categoría estaba disponible para reservar, por lo cual era evitende que nada más no nos quería ayudar.

Excellent service from start to finish. Our kids loved the swim up room in the Family Selection. Our room butler made our reservations for dinner and helped with anything we needed. The property was convenient to where we want to go. Driving was easy as most places were off the same highway. Would recommend if you are traveling to the Riviera Maya area!

This is by far the best resort in Riviera Maya! This was our second time there and we will be back. The property is stunning. Natural mangroves run all throughout. The walking on the grounds is beautiful. You have access to all four properties no matter which one you stay at. We love Kantenah, but Colonial and White Sands are equally great. The room was more than we ever expected! THE FOOD! OMG it’s amazing. Highly recommend El Gaucho in the TRS side. It’s the best food I’ve ever eaten. The staff is so friendly and helpful bi matter their job. Me went July 2025 and the beach was not great due to the sargassum right now. That is NO FAULT of the resort. They do the best they can to keep it cleaned up, it was just a bad year for it. The time we went before the beach was wonderful. There are so many options for pools that we didn’t feel like we were missing out. Another perk is the entertainment at the Colonial lobby theater. Overall, Grand Palladium has our hearts! We can’t wait to go back.

I booked and paid for a queen double bed room that came with a couch. When I arrived with my family of 4 they gave me a room with one bed and provided us cover for the couch. Once I brought it to their attention, I was basically told there is nothing they can do because that was all they had available. They waited until I got all the way across country to surprise me in that fashion. They also did nothing to compensate my inconvenience and uncomfortable stay. I will never go back!

El Hotel está muy bonito y acogedor pero las amenidades son pobres. Es decir en el área de la piscina no hay actividades ni música en todo el día. Para ir al bar en la piscina prepararse para nadar porque para llegar al bar está muy profundo de forma que no puedes acceder caminando dentro de la piscina y por fuera tienes que ponerte ropa para llegar al bar porque tienes que atravesar un restaurante. El sport bar es solo para ver deportes. Las salas de juegos solo para niños. Muy poca diversión para los adultos. Si vas en plan de descanso es el lugar. La comida en los buffet no es gran cosa. A la carta según a gusto de cada persona. En fin. Yo no recomiendo este hotel ni ninguno de esa cadena al menos en la Riviera Maya. El Mayordomo según el hotel está para atenderlo en lo que necesite pero yo le escribía y respondía a la media hora , pésimo el servicio de mayordomo, ojo yo nunca uso ese servicio y por primera vez lo intenté y fracaso total. Pedí 2 cervezas servicio a habitación y nunca llegaron. Las cervezas en la nevera de la habitación te ponían una mexicana y otras tres extranjera , la misma. Lo más lógico es tres mexicana ya que estás en México. Fiasco total. La habitación muy bonito todo sin quejas. 0 recomendaciones para visitar este lugar.

This is a great resort for families, the service was great, very friendly, nice and helpful staff. The food was very delicious in most places, the property is beautiful. It is also very close to attractions, if you rent a car it’s very easy to park and just drive yourself to places. Safe area to drive in. A few things I think they can do better on is cleanliness in the room, we found clothes from a previous guest’s child in the restroom’s cabinet and water from shower was leaking all over until we told them, but they fixed it super quickly. Also the junior suites are not suites, they are just regular rooms so maybe they should change the name so people don’t think they will be going into a suite when you are not. Last, when checking in, one of their guys was very deceiving and basically lied to is telling us because we were VIP guests we were getting a special breakfast and complimentary massage, turns out it was one of those things where you have to listen to a whole lot of marketing material and they try to sell you stuff, if he would have been honest from the start we would have declined right away since we were on vacation and not on a business trip and much rather spend our time relaxing. Other than that everything was beautiful!!

Best family friendly resort by far we have ever stayed at upgrade to family selection is worth every penny ! We loved that we have 3 butler’s available that was able to assist in anything that my family needed . Family selection counts with its own private beach access just steps away from your room with great restaurants on the beach and bars available all staff is extremely friendly and respectful and are happy to get you from a towel , to food ,to drinks even sand toys for your kids ! The kids area with the slides it’s perfect for little ones and our girls did the kids club and it was amazing we got to enjoy the adults only area ! It’s a must ! Also the spa was amazing 100% recommended

Vast property with 3 different types merged to common place, good place for kids, adults, good restaurants, good service. Only problem was drinks were bit water down. No Indian menu for entire week. Highly recommend this resort. Very clean, well maintained with great service. Lots of activities, great food with lots of options. Very family friendly, nice pools and surroundings with a relaxed atmosphere. Only issue is the sea weeds which made it impossible to swim in the ocean. I heard this is an issue across the whole peninsula, not just limited to this resort. This seems to be an issue during summer months so better to visit during fall or spring months.

Overall, we had a good experience at this hotel. The rooms in the Family Selection area are nice; they look recently renovated. You get butler service almost all day — some are efficient, others not so much. At times, it feels like you’re talking to bots, as the responses via WhatsApp are very automated. But in general, they do help you schedule restaurant reservations, transportation, room service requests, or guides. The facilities are beautiful and the entertainment is on another level — mostly live music, DJs, shows, etc. Definitely worth it. If you get the chance, go to Bravo D&D — you definitely get what you pay for: excellent service, quality food, and extraordinary mixology. As for restaurant reservations, we had one not-so-great experience with the service at El Dorado, but the others were generally good to average. Regarding the buffets, the most complete one is La Hacienda. The others either lack good service or food variety. I think the biggest issue throughout the entire hotel is the waitstaff. Most of them are not quick; dirty dishes can pile up on your table and no one comes to clear them. I don’t want to generalize because we also had some very good experiences… NOTE: for some reason, we noticed that the women provided much better service. Applause for the mixology at the Brazilian restaurant and Bravo D&D, and a special mention to Gerardo (E-butler) and Mauricio (on-site butler), who helped us a lot.

We stayed at the Grand Palladium in June and had a fantastic experience! We booked the Family Selection package, which gave us access to exclusive areas like Níu Restaurant and The Nest – both of which were excellent and perfect for families. Níu quickly became one of our favorite spots. Located by the Family Selection pool, it offered delicious options like the catch of the day, fajitas, and New York steaks. The service and setting were relaxing and family-friendly. One great perk of staying at the Grand Palladium is that, even though we were based at one hotel, our package allowed us to explore and dine at all three properties within the complex. This gave us plenty of variety without needing to leave the resort! El Dorado was the standout restaurant for us – if you’re a steak lover, it’s a must-try! Be sure to make a reservation right when you arrive, as it fills up fast. We also dined at Sumptuori, the hibachi-style restaurant. It started with sushi appetizers, followed by a flavorful mix of fried rice, grilled vegetables, shrimp, beef, and chicken. The food was tasty overall, though just a bit salty for my preference. Reservations for families here were a bit harder to get, so plan ahead if you’re going with kids. For buffets, La Hacienda was our go-to. We loved the fresh crepes at lunch, the variety of food choices at dinner, and the 5 ice cream flavors available in the evening. Resort is huge and consists of several hotels. Respectful number of ala cart restaurants, few buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner. But the best part of this resort is beach, long, beautiful beach where you don't have yo worry if you will find the shade or not. Even if beach is crowded, you don't have that feeling becuase of size and shape of the beach. Service in the restaurants and bars is great.

It's important to make travelers aware that the beaches were completely inaccessible. We came to this resort because the beautiful photos of the beaches. What we found instead was massive amounts of seaweed that prevented anyone from using the beach. The smell was terrible which could be smelled from INSIDE our room. I was made aware of this condition once we arrived by hotel staff who said there were trying to clear it, but it was a natural phenomenon that was outside of their control. Had we known this, we wouldn't have spent $4000 on booking this trip. Room service took an hour plus each time, we were unable to get into many of the restaurants we wanted to because they need to be booked three days in advance at minimum and we were there for only four days. We opted for the Family Selection which got us into most areas and still had a pretty miserable time. The pools were crowded because no one could use the beach. We pulled Pesos for tips, yet spent most of our time trying to break pesos into smaller bills. The gift shop refuses to take anything but exact change. Overall, we won't book another trip on expedia again. We met with a representative who got us to pay an additional $450 USD to escape the seaweed on an excusion to swim with the sea turtles. Please don't fall for this. We were neck deep swimming in seaweed and the water was too cloudy and murky to even see anything. The beaches looked NOTHING like the photos.

The property was ok, but not great. The people everywhere were friendly & helpful, except at the restaurants — where they didn’t seem to have a sense of urgency or customer service. They seemed to have a sense of whatever, whenever. The food was ok, but nothing like their neighbors in Cancun. Our family experience was ok, but do. it plan to visit this chain of hotels again.

We were unable to use the beach due to the Sargasm, so that was really the only sad part about this trip. I must say that I was very pleased with the staff and the way they treated us from checking all the way to check out. Everyone was kind helpful and always answered all the questions with a smile. They really make you feel at home. The rooms were extremely clean, we upgraded to a swim up room, and our children used the pool daily. Our two favorite restaurants were the nest and Letty chef. Totally worth paying for that dinner because not only is the food amazing, the show in experience is something we’ve never seen before. My kids loved it. Our other restaurant that we loved was The Nest We enjoyed our daily breakfast.

My second time and it was it beautiful experience, I love Family selection and the swim-up rooms. The missing ⭐ is because there is not accessible beach this time of the year and is nature, I get it! But the prices should be adjusted keeping in mind that you will enjoy only the swimming pools. Thanks to everyone worker, they work so hard and they are so attentive. Antonio and the lady that is in charge of everything in the family selection buffet (blue shirt) I can't remember her name, they are a true gem. Thanks to everyone! See you next time

Grand Palladium Riviera Maya – Guest Experience Report I’ve stayed at the Grand Palladium in Riviera Maya before and had wonderful experiences in the past. Unfortunately, this most recent visit was deeply disappointing and fell far below the standard I’ve come to expect from a resort of this caliber. To begin with, the butler service was unreliable and ineffective. Every time I made a request, it was either ignored or never followed through on. This was a consistent issue throughout my stay, and it significantly impacted my overall experience. There were also major delays when it came to food and beverage service. Whether it was lunch or dinner, waiting for drinks became a frustrating routine. The service was noticeably inconsistent and slow. On my first day, I had trouble getting into my room and approached the manager for assistance. Unfortunately, the manager was unhelpful and did not resolve the issue. Once I finally got access to the room, I noticed that it was never properly stocked with drinks or snacks—something that should be standard for this level of resort. Another deeply concerning issue was the behavior of some of the staff. There appeared to be a clear preference shown toward white guests over others. This kind of unequal treatment is unacceptable and left a lasting negative impression. Perhaps the most upsetting part of my stay was the inability to book a massage. This was something I had been looking forward to and was very important to me for personal

Dont come during summer, beach is closed due to mountains of seaweed and it STINKS. We had zero issues with the room or housekeeping. Our butler/concierge was so awesome that we ended up tipping him $100 extra before leaving. The resort was beautiful. But here’s the down side. The food… not good.. not even the restaurants that you have to pay extra for. Every meal we had was bland, room temp, and very small portions. Room service is even worse than the restaurants. Also, I got sick TWICE while on my stay from poorly handled fruits and vegetables. Most of the drinks from the bar also tasted odd so I stuck to wine mostly, which they charged extra for. Moving on from food, we ended up getting CONNED into joining the travel club for extra benefits.. but in order to receive the benefits we had to attend a welcome breakfast. They HOUNDED us about it. I mean relentlessly. So my 2 children and I got up early and went to the breakfast. When we got there we were told that we couldnt attend because my husband was not with us and then were sent back across the resort to get breakfast elsewhere. I never got my “free” massage at the spa or any of the other benefits because of it. I paid $650 for nothing. So dont buy into the travel club nonsense. On to another point, this place is MASSIVE. You cant really get to anything from your room without having a golf cart called to pick you up unless you want to hike a mile or more. It was nice seeing all of the wildlife while walking around though.
