“Excellent stay here! Specially the service from two gentlemen at front desk, they were being helpful and tried to book cab for us (finding cab is headache in Kyoto!), Also they were able to speak English! The hotel is clean generally, you get a free little complimentary snack box daily if you chose no house keeping service during your stay. Very convenient location from hotel to Gion Shijo where u get all the shopping & food and also easy to walk to Kiyomizu-Dera temple (10 mins walk)! Lovely……

“Fun experience in a traditional Japanese hotel. The dinner and lunch were great. Being right in the park made it super easy to visit the temple and feed the deer. The public bath is on the smaller side, but does the job. They called us a cab to the train station when we checked out which was nice. ”

Would have liked to make use of the bath there, but with the persistent cough I’ve been trying to get shot of since before I even flew out to Japan, I wasn’t going to risk passing it on to anyone else.”
