  • Enjoying a peaceful position on the fringes of the Yorkshire Dales with access to the magnificent Pennine Way from the doorstep, this family-friendly rural retreat is perfect for anyone keen to escape to the countryside.

    At the end of a long day, follow the warmth of the wood burner into the cosy lounge which boasts beautiful period features including flagstone flooring and exposed brickwork that set the scene for pure relaxation. The light and bright kitchen/diner embraces the heritage of the cottage, boasting country cottage-style decor that’ll capture your imagination and inspire you to get creative with your tasty local flavours. There are two bedrooms upstairs, one double and one small double, that offer a haven of tranquillity to retire to; lovely rural views set a truly peaceful ambience. Brimming with charm and featuring a sloping ceiling and a large Velux window, the contemporary family bathroom provides everything you need to feel refreshed. Outside, the large garden offers something for everyone to enjoy; dine alfresco on the patio, play garden games on the lawn or unwind in the hot tub. There is private parking for two cars at the cottage.

    This peaceful position on the fringes of the Yorkshire Dales offers a gateway to explore the gorgeous landscapes of North Yorkshire; keen walkers can join the iconic Pennine Way from the doorstep. Pick up some fabulous local produce from the market town of Skipton, 7.5 miles away, home to a wonderful selection of independent cafes, bars and restaurants. Keen history enthusiasts can travel through time exploring the 900-year-old Skipton Castle (7.5 miles), one of the best-preserved medieval castles in the whole country. The sleepy hamlet of Wycoller, Hardcastle Craggs and the priory ruins at Bolton Abbey can all be reached within 20 miles.
