“This place was so lovely and peaceful. It really is tucked away and has a cute little balcony. Lots of hiking nearby in Shenandoah. Would definitely stay here again. My only negative is the door to this room has a huge gap at the bottom and nothing around the outside giving any sort of sound buffer. So you can hear everything. Other than that, it was wonderful. ”

“The drive up to the lodge was beautiful. We passed the chickens and goats on the way. The grounds are vast, creating a quiet, enchanting atmosphere. We were reserved for a 2nd floor room but requested a change to 1st floor after we arrived. The office was closed but there was an after hours number we could call. They switched our room without any problem and the staff (Tina, I think?) was so pleasant and accommodating. Our room was SPOTLESS and so well decorated, we felt like we hit the jackpot.……

The kitchen area was the perfect size, stocked with a choice of coffees, teas and snacks. It’s perfectly located to go to the many wineries, restaurants and shopping in the area, It is an easy drive into Charlottesville. Our hostess was great, texting to check if we needed anything.
