Family Vacation

The unit was perfect for a group of seven. We used the pool every afternoon and spent a lot of time paddleboarding in the canal. The rooms were very comfortable and the the place is very roomy and clean.

Holiday in the keys

Great house. Very clean and we really loved having some basics like paper towels and soap. Very clean with plenty of crisp white sheets and towels. Kitchen has everything. Just need a hairdryer. Would recommend updating sofa.

Great place for the price.

Comfortable for 8 adults. Only issue was the fire alarms chirped on one night. We fixed easily with a nine volt battery after finding the culprit smoke dectector, recommend owner change all the smoke detector batteries.

Ladies trip

For the amount of money we paid we thought there should have been enough toilet paper, paper towels and handsoap in the bathrooms. We called and they said they will make sure there some for the next guest. We had to buy some and left the rest for the next guest. The beach was futher away than expected. We did expect not to sit outside at night and enjoy the warm night air because quiet time was 9pm because it's a residential property. This wasn't a great place for people on vacations. The furniture in the livingroom and dinning room was very uncomfortable to sit on because they sank in and the end recliners seem to be not working correctly. The bed upstairs to the left was very uncomfortable and made creaking sounds every time I moved. My back hurt the whole time I was there. It seems like they knew this that's why there was a foam mattress topper on the bed.

Overall great experience staying here.

Enjoyed our stay at this property. The only complaint was the master bedroom matress was horrible. It was the hardest, most uncomfortable matress I've ever slept on. The pillows need replacing as well. One was ok the other...flat as a pancake. Everything else was fantastic. Hot tub was great. Its jets are very low so don't expect high volume jets. It was relaxing sitting in it and watching the channel. Our last night stay we had manatees come right up to our sea wall. So awesome to see. Overall wonderful stay.

House was nice and clean. Some jets and hot tub heater not working which seems to be an ongoing issue, at the moment both houses on the sides; the house on the left and the house on the right are going through some renovations be ready to enjoy loud construction noise coming from both houses.

This house was perfect for our 3-family vacay. The little hot tub was great, location was good for all activities and place was clean. It didn't have some of the "leftovers" many of the homes we've rented have had (i.e. spices, hair dryer etc) all in all it was great.

The property was great, all amenities you would need were included. The neighborhood is a good central location in the keys and is calm/quiet. Very relaxing. We had an issue with the hot tub not working the first few nights... told the management company and they sent someone out that said it was working when it was colder than the canal behind the house! On the 3rd day the pool guy came and called in to explain that it was, in fact, not heating. It was fixed the next day and they gave us a free late check-out for the trouble. Aside from that, the stay was great!

We stayed in this house over New Years with our four adult kids and it was perfect. The home is well stocked and ready to enjoy! The wading pool was great, not to mention warm with the turn of the knob. My sister in law stayed in a house three miles from us with a wade pool and it was over chlorinated and cold. Not ours! When we arrived we didn’t find any outside lounge chairs, and with three 20something girls we needed them. One call to the manager and an hour later they delivered two brand new lounge chairs to our door. We would absolutely rent this house again on our next trip to the keys.

The furniture was well worn

The location of the rental is nice. This house has a lot of potential, however the furniture was well worn and unable to use some of it due to fear of injury. There are no bathtubs in any of the bathrooms which I wish we had known since we had a toddler. The heating feature of the pool didn’t work.

The House was the perfect size for our growing family vacation. The pictures are accurate and better in person. The layout was ideal. Fish cleaning table and bait freezer downstairs was a huge plus ! Easy access to the ocean and the canal was quiet. We loved it !

Relaxing / Great Location

Very nice house with plenty of space. Planned to fish most of the week but the winds picked up to 20 mph from the E for 1/2 the week we were there. Ended up hanging out by the wade pool on the canal the other days. Had a visit from the manatee and all in all very relaxing. The wind did push some weeds back into our section of the canal, but certainly not the house's fault. Can't control mother nature. We rented bikes and spent the days we couldn't be on the water riding and exploring around KCB. The inch beach is very peaceful (bring your own chairs) and can fish some from the beach. The Key Colony Inn is a very good restaurant within a short walk or bike ride from the house and other great restaurants are only a very short drive away.

Great location and comfy duplex close to it all

Great property !! Manatees come through the canal daily so great photo ops but do not water them it is illegal we found out after we did it. Luckily someone told us! Fishing in canal while relaxing was not fruitful , dead end canal & no moving water = minimal fish but still fun! Food, shopping and grocery just minutes away. Sunset grill has the best breakfast we found . Deep sea fishing with Best Bet was a great time and the Key Colony Inn will fry your fish for you and you buy the sides . Inch beach was very very tiny hence it’s name but very pretty , just be sure you have your pass because every watches to make sure. House had all the towels we could possibly use for the week and while they lacked good outdoor loungers and furniture they made up for in location and duplex size ! We loved the place and will return at some point. Be advised this is not a partying area , so if your looking for rowdy loud then go elsewhere because it is not wanted or put up with in this area. It is more for real adults and families and the neighbors live there , which was perfect for our group. We played cards or were outside having drinks late but we gave the neighbors the respect they deserve and they treated us the same way. Keywest is about an 1 and 10 south of this location so we went there to get the rowdy out . Truly a great stay!!

Fantastic Fifth Street Rating

Firstly we definitely would come back again. There were a few items I would like to mention for further consideration: The "hot tub" only worked the day the pool guy came out. After that it did not work. It wasn't a huge inconvenience but would have liked to use it. The second bedroom on the left upstairs next to the bathroom had dips in the mattress which made it awkward to sleep. If the owners are providing access to "Inch Beach" it would be nice to have beach chairs available to take to the beach. We could not locate any place that would rent chairs. A plus would have been able to access the cabana club. We attempted but were denied access, even though we were willing to pay for it. Overall we enjoyed ourselves. We loved the location and the water behind the home. We even rented a boat for three days so the guys could go fishing.

Beautiful location , close to everything

We had a great time staying at this duplex!! House was spacious and clean with plenty of towels. Neighbors are nice and not nosey or picky but be aware you have to be respectful with quiet times as most of them live there. No one bothered us and we played cards or sat outside late every night but we tried to keep in mind they are not on vacation. The manatees come through every day so we got a lot of beautiful close up footage of them, there were 2 adults and a baby . On that note be advised it is illegal to water them . We saw neighbors using a hose for them to get washed down and drink and we did it and found out later it illegal. They don't want them hanging in the canal because of boat traffic and injury. The house is close to restaurants and groceries. Inch beach is walkable but would be a pretty fair walk if its hot and since they have parking it's easier to drive there. Be sure you wear your pass because everyone will approach you if you don't. The girls put ours on our flip flops and guys on their hats but they still approached us and follow the rules or they are on that too. We had no issue but others did. It is a very very small strip of beach but very nice, they also have a covered area but you have to get there early to get that spot. The hot tub was nice and there is a temp control on the back side of the steps. We had issues with it turning our skin and clothes white and found out the fiberglass oxidized because it sat empty. That being said it does come off with soap and water so don't get excited like we did lol. This was a great time for all and we will definitely return, we loved the house and it had everything we needed! Staff was sweet and attentive if you had a concern. Sunset grill has the best breakfast we found and Key Colony Inn will fry any fish you catch and you just buy the additionals. The hubbies went deep sea fishing with Best Bet Sportfishing right across the canal and had a great time. Ask for Wayne and he will take care of you! They caught their limit and so we took it all to Key Colony Inn to have it fried up. Fishing off the canal was a relaxing thing but we did not catch much, most to small to keep, even with a chum bag it was scarce , you have to realize your on a dead end canal and with no water moving through the fish don't hang there but it was entertaining on a few late nights. All around a great experience, but we feel it's more of an adult area , family area , if you are looking to party wild and be rowdy this is not you house or location. Thank you for a great time and we hope to stay again sometime!!!
