The overall stay was good. We loved the character of the old building but in our room the glass shower door was very tight to get in and kept hitting the toilet. The deck around the pool definitely needs to be replaced as there are loose boards. The deck on the second floor also needs attention. Other than those couple of things we really enjoyed it. Nice place for a great price!

I would highly recommend the Independant Inn. The staff was exceptionally helpful and went above and beyond to ensure that our stay and experience in Key West were everything we hoped it would be. The property is clean and well maintained and just as inviting as it looks in the photos. If we have the opportunity to travel to Key West again I will not hesitate to stay there again.

The staff were some of the friendliest people we’ve ever met, and the owner was super nice and welcoming. You can really tell they care about their guests and want everyone to have a great stay.

Dan is absolutely a great human being and we loved the discussions and his kinds. The room is very expensive for the amenities that are proposed and the air conditioning system is extremely noisy so we couldn’t sleep more than 3-4 hours and on top of that we had the chairs for the smokers just near our windows which made our experience very unpleasant. On top of that finding a parking slot nearby is a very complicated task
