Life in the Slow Lane at the Truman Annex in Key West

This charming unit has a whimsical nautical feel with the blue and white décor. There are two master suites, one on the second floor featuring a queen bed and one on the third floor which offers 2 twins that can be converted to king on request. This historic 3 level Bostonian style town home is located in the red brick Foundry building in the Truman Annex community. There is a refreshing community pool just across the street. This property also includes one assigned parking space. Conveniently located just 2 blocks from Duval Street and 1/4 mile from Ft Zachary Taylor State Park and beach. Also within walking distance is Mallory Square, known for its breathtaking sunsets and celebration, the Harry Truman Little White House Museum and the beautiful Truman Waterfront park with a splash zone, workout paths and gorgeous views of the harbor.

Great Place!

Loved everything about our stay in Key West Truman 10 including the shower! If I have to say something negative, I guess it would be the master bed. Mattress needs to be replaced.

Love Truman Annex

We love the location of Truman Annex. The condo we stayed in has a lot to offer, but it needs some updating. The air conditioner is on its way out. It worked well enough to get us through the week, but it’s going out. I emailed and called about it, but no one responded to either. This is a great condo and I would stay there again. The management company needs to take care of the guests that stay there though. If they say, “please contact us with any concerns,” then they need to address those concerns.

Wonderful Location when staying in Key West.

We absolutely loved our condo and location. The condo had everything we needed including a small courtyard which was nice. The condo itself was clean and comfortable but just to let everyone know this is a 3-story condo so be prepared to walk stairs. The only negative I can say is the bed on the 3rd floor is not great but not horrible either. Everything else was perfect. We walked everywhere as you can be in Mallory Square 5 min walk, Duval St. 7-10 min walk, Truman Waterfront Park 5 min. The Truman Annex in itself is beautiful. I would absolutely stay here again. Compass Reality was very accommodating and extremely easy to deal with as well. I would highly recommend them.

Hard to find and for Uber’s to find. Instructions could be shorter and more clear. And tell guests about gates locking at 6. 10 min walk to everything. Thanks!

Great Location

We had a fantastic time. Great location to beach, downtown, restaurants, etc. Very clean. Thanks for the use of the beach towels (I washed them and put them back in the basket). Just wish there was a Keurig for my morning coffee. Thanks.

First get away after school ends

I have stayed at Truman Annex many times and the Foundry once before. This was a very clean property and overall it was a lovely stay. Two things, say the pool is not locked. I wasted 2 days of the vacation not visiting the pool because all my info said you needed a key to get into the pool and there was no key in the condo. Turns out you do not need one! Second, please do something about the couch in the living room. There are no back cushions and it becomes quite uncomfortable after a bit. Other than that the condo was great.

Great location

We truly enjoyed our stay. You can’t beat the location, it is within walking distance to so many great restaurants and Mallory square is just right there. The house is very comfortable and accommodated us 4 adults nicely. We look forward to coming back again soon!

Great location but uncomfortable beds and furniture

Loved the location and very nice design. We found the casual seating and beds to be uncomfortable. Beds were too soft and sank in the middle. The sofa had bedroom pillows for the back cushions. Would be more comfortable w actual foam sofa cushions.

Clean, easy, georgious inside and out, dedicated parking spot right out front, and perfect location. I'm not sure what to say outside of that...other than as long as your not looking for a party house something this is probably the one you are looking for.

Nice place to stay

We were very pleased with the property! It was very clean, very comfortable, and very well located 2 Duval St. activities. The property was well air-conditioned everything worked as it should have and we were overall very happy with our choice. The only downside I would say to this property is that there isn’t much for a pool so all of our activities took place at the beach if we wanted to be in the water.

Fit our needs perfectly

Although we were on the go most of the time, we had plenty of room for two couples to share the property. Quiet neighborhood yet very short walk to all the action. Perfect location, clean, and comfortable.

Beautiful location with some issues at the condo

Truman Annex and the Coconut Bay condo is beautiful located and is in walking distance to all interesting Key West places. The condo was very clean and fully equipped for 4 people. Nevertheless we have some points to mention negativ. The water in kitchen and showers is not running at all, it‘s more only a dropping. The BBQ on the very small veranda was very dirty and damaged. The veranda is even to small to have breakfast for 4 outside. The pool connected to this condo is much much too small. Sorry to say, but the price for this condo was far too high, based on our experience.
