Great location in a quiet building. Nice walking trails to beach access. A couple little problems and starting to show a little wear considering it says recently renovated. Still a nice unit close to everything in a great area.

Perfect location

Loved loved this condo. The location was amazing. Sooo close to the ocean but no one laying on a beach right under your lanai. The views and sunsets were spectacular! Yet….you walked only steps to one of the longest beautiful beaches on west Maui. Can’t say enough about that. Also the pool was so clean and lovely so close to the ocean as well. The unit was clean and had everything we needed down to very plush beach towels. We used the laundry facilities and they were open and airy and clean as well. There was a nice welcome note and snacks when we arrived which was nice. We would definitely recommend this unit to anyone wanting to come to Maui and experience the relaxed feel of Kihei!

The sounds of the waves is everything! This unit is semi-updated, great quiet well kept complex, friendly front office, and again, the sound of the waves. Person "on call" was quickly responsive when we checked in on a day the main office is closed. Will definitely stay here again. (Con: complex has no shade at the pool, you can drag the chairs to the palm tree shade on the golf-course quality grass)

Best room ever.

One of the best if not the best room I’ve ever stayed in. Fantastic view full kitchen two bathrooms and a king bed, what else could you ask for.

Incredible views

We had a great time at Larry's property! We listened to the waves all day and all night and enjoyed walking around the condo grounds. The kitchen was fully stocked, the bed was comfortable, and it was great having a second bathroom. The snorkeling at Keawakapu Beach was incredible and it was a short drive to restaurants and other beaches. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing View Property!

This property is ideally located right on the water and just a few feet from a beautiful beach with great snorkeling! We loved sitting out on the lanai for drinks or morning coffee. The condo is close to Kihei in one direction and Wailea in the other. We can't wait to go back. The unit is well-appointed to cover all the basic needs. Can't wait to go back!

Memorable stay in Kihei

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Kihei Surfside, unit 202. The condo was amazing - it made our stay in Maui to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary memorable. The condo exceeded our expectations with all the amenities and knickknacks provided from the general comfortable accommodations to the snorkel gear to the kitchen details of grocery bags and condiments, to the ease of checking in and out, and of course the great location with the lanai right off the water. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway.

Not as expected

Upon arrival noticed how dirty the tables, floors, counters, shower and appliances were. No a/c, filthy windows. Add to clean my feet every time I got OUT of shower if I didn’t immediately put shoes on. Found mold and live LARVAE in shower /bath area. Will not recommend or stay there again

Adequate Condo

You can’t go wrong with any unit at Kihei Surfside. The location is just the best. Views are great. Each unit has a lanai. Unit 202 was perfectly adequate for our needs. There were no personal touches that have been provided at other Kihei Surfside rentals we’ve stayed at, such as notes about where to find things or how to use items in the condo. No welcome basket full of goodies. Everything was in working order. There was just enough towels, soap and TP, etc. Best to LABEL the pre-proportioned dish? laundry? detergents under the sink. Had no idea which was for what. The yoga mat was great but the snorkel masks leaked, so better to rent your own. There were no beach chairs but you can use the loungers that are on the lawn and Mana Kai next door can rent you everything you need. It was very quiet until the final night when the condo next door had a loud party (2/6) that went well into the night and is against the rules. They even left their front door wide open despite loud music and laughing. Not our condo owner’s fault of course and usually KS is a quiet building.

Every day we woke up and went to sleep with the breeze and noise of the waves. An exceptional location for lounging or accessing all Maui has to offer. I recommend this highly.

1st Time at Surfside

Great property with fantastic beach access. Would be nice if there were beach chairs and umbrella to use at the beach that is in walking distance. TV/internet did not work. I should have asked the front office but we decided to just not watch any TV and I had my own portable internet.

Summer vacation in Maui

The property was fantastic and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay! Everything was clean, and the view was amazing! The condo is very well located to make getting wherever you need to go easy, and the adjacent beach is the best in Maui. I highly recommend!

Great location for a relaxing getaway

The property at Kihei Surfside provided stunning views! My wife and I traveled most of the island and the beach that was walking distance to the property ranks as the best in my opinion. Be aware, Kihei is a "Sun up, to sun down" town so don't expect much life after 9pm. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting the area and hope to stay there again some day.

Nice location, well appointed unit, incredible views

I work on Maui and have stayed at a variety of properties. This is one of the best. There is no air conditioning but I never use it anyway as it is usually quite windy on Maui and the breeze is lovely. Pros: The bed is comfortable, the unit is well stocked with bath towels and kitchen supplies. The views are gorgeous and it is a short walk to the beach. The communal barbecues looked nice but I didnʻt use them. There is a restaurant and a convenience store at the property next door. Cons: Parking is a little tight so it can be hard to find a spot. The pool is small and there is no jacuzzi but I wasnʻt really there with time to use it anyway. There is laundry in the building but it would be nicer if they were in the unit like some other places I have stayed. Finally - I got an email threatening immediate eviction for smoking on property. I am a healthcare professional and donʻt smoke so I donʻt know what that was about but I just shrugged it off.

Wonderful property and very beautiful unit. Everything inside is new. The view from the unit is amazing! The only thing is the unit doesn't have air conditioning (only ceiling fans). For me sometimes it was a little too hot inside. The property is located right on a very nice beach (sandy beach plus snorkeling portion). Very close (5 min drive) to nice restaurants in Wailea. Overall definitely recommend unit 202!!
