Puffin Cottage Holidays is proud to present Fern Cottage, nestled 15 minutes on foot from Folly Farm, one of Wales' most beloved family attractions, this cottage invites you to explore a world of wildlife wonders. Head on out to encounter roaring lions, graceful giraffes, waddling penguins and friendly farm animals- all within a leisurely stroll of your cosy retreat!

Fern Cottage is a two-bedroom, pet-friendly bungalow and really is an ideal base to enjoy a relaxing family break in the heart of Pembrokeshire! The cottage is set in a small, quiet, family-run holiday park with views over the surrounding countryside with many lovely walks, through the fields and along the public footpaths close by.


Pembrokeshire is best known for its dramatic coastline, charming towns, and rich history. It boasts the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, which features breathtaking cliffs, sandy beaches, and wildlife-rich islands.


The seaside town of Tenby, and picturesque Saundersfoot are both approximately a 10-minute drive away, each with their award-winning beaches and wonderful array of cafes, pubs, restaurants and independent shops. Close by you will find the vibrant village of Narberth and a little further afield, St David's, the smallest city in the UK.


Fern cottage is perfectly situated on Stone Pitt Holiday Park in Begelly and as mentioned is within walking distance of Folly Farm, conveniently located close to all the local attractions, beautiful beaches and delightful villages. Fern Cottage guests will also benefit from a 10% discount off tickets to neighbouring Folly Farm and Manor House Wildlife Park during their stay.


Onsite there is a children’s play area, coin-operated laundrette and a field to exercise your dog, also it is within walking distance of Kilgetty with a supermarket, pub and restaurant, Begelly Arms and the locally renowned Rib and Oyster restaurant.


Whether you're into hiking, exploring castles, or relaxing by the sea, Pembrokeshire has something for everyone.


Entrance:


Enter the cottage into the hallway with everything on one level, off to the side is the twin bedroom, bathroom in front of you and follow it round to the open plan kitchen, dining and living room before arriving at the French doors to the outside area.


Kitchen/Dining Room:


A modern well-equipped kitchen with everything you will need for your self-catering holiday including fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, electric oven and gas hob. Comfortable dining seating for up to 4 people.


Lounge:


Comfy sofas, nest of side tables and TV, the perfect place to relax and watch your favourite shows after a day exploring or enjoying the beach. French doors open out on to a small, decked area.


Bedroom 1:


Comfortable double bed with wardrobe and drawers with ample storage.


Bedroom 2:


Twin bedroom with a wardrobe, bedside drawers and ample storage space.


Bathroom:


There is a walk in rainfall shower, toilet, heated towel rail, washbasin and mirror.


Outside area:


Furnished decked area with comfy outdoor furniture and hot tub, new for 2025. This decking has a few steps down onto a generous lawn shared with the adjoining cottages, which is bordered by mature trees and wildflowers.

Fern cottage is on a bus route and a short walk to a train station.


The cottage benefits from central heating and free park wide WiFi.


A travel cot, highchair, iron and ironing board will be available for you at reception.


It's sister property next door is Bramble Cottage a perfect mirror image, ideal for two families who want to holiday together.


Check in from 3pm on day of arrival.


A £100 damage deposit is required when staying at this property.

Whether pets are accepted (and the number of pets accepted) is displayed within the property description. No other pets are permitted in the property, this includes external areas of the property.

Terms and Conditions of Hire.

Bookings of all holiday accommodation whether made by telephone, e-mail, in person, in writing or over the internet are accepted by Puffin Cottage Holidays acting as the agent on behalf of the Owner. The contract to occupy the property is between you and the owner.

By making any booking with us, you confirm that you accept these terms and conditions and agree to comply with and be bound by them.

These booking terms and conditions include a number of defined terms as follows:

"Booking" means the legally binding reservation for use of the property, with a specified start and end date.
"Contract of Hire" The legally binding contract between the Hirer and the Owner
"Deposit" means a deposit of 20% of the total holiday accommodation cost (which includes any "extras" selected at the time of booking).
"Balance" means the balance of the Total Charges payable by you after payment of the Deposit as set out in paragraph 4.
"Website" means the booking website.
"Lead Hirer" means the person who has booked the accommodation.
"Guest" means you and each person staying in the property with you.
"Owner" means the owner of the Property you book which is the subject of the Contract of Hire. We do not own the properties on our website.
"Agent" means Puffin Cottage Holidays.
"Property" and "Properties" means the holiday property you book or enquire about through us.
"You" means the lead person making a booking through us.
When you make a booking through us you are confirming that you and every Hirer understands, agrees and accepts these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully as any breach may result in the Owner (or their representative) refusing to allow you and your guests to enter and stay at the property or requiring you and your guests to leave the property before the end of the holiday period without any compensation or refund.

1. Contract and Booking
We act as agents for the Owner. When you make a Booking through us the holiday let contract in respect of the Property is always between you and the Owner. As Agents we accept no responsibility for an injury or damage caused as a result of the Contract.

Bookings cannot be accepted from persons under 21 years of age.

The Lead Hirer must be one of the Guests staying at the property and shall not part with possession of the property or share it, except with other Guests named on the booking form.

The Properties are not intended to be reserved for the purposes of parties and group bookings, including for stag, hen dos and birthdays, may not be allowed unless explicitly agreed with the Owner. In these circumstances the Owner may impose special requirements (including the possible requirement for, but not limited to, an extra damage deposit payment)

No Bookings are confirmed until the Deposit (or Balance and Deposit if the holiday is less than 8 weeks away) is received and written confirmation of its receipt has been sent.

Once a booking is confirmed it cannot be changed by you, unless agreed by the Owner, or by us on the Owner's behalf. If we or the Owner agree to make requested changes to your booking (for example, amending the date or Hirer) you will be required to pay £25 amendment fee per change.

2. Booking Fees
A booking fee of £24.00 is payable when making a booking. This is included in the displayed price of the holiday.

3. Deposits and Balance Payments
Bookings made within 8 weeks of your holiday date must be paid for in full at the time of booking. For a booking made more than 8 weeks before your holiday a deposit of 20% of the total due will be paid when booking to secure the booking. The balance will be paid 8 weeks prior to your holiday. If you make a booking within 8 weeks of the start of the holiday you will be required to pay for the holiday in full at the time of booking to secure the booking. In the event that the balance payment is not received by the required date, Puffin Cottage Holidays reserves the right (on behalf of the Owner) to cancel the booking and will be under no obligation to refund any deposits previously paid.

The booking fee and Deposit are non-refundable unless we are unable to accept the booking on behalf of the Owner, or the Property is unavailable at the time of the holiday

4. Damage Deposits
Some properties may require damage deposits for all bookings made. If this is required, it will be recorded in the Property Description. Any damage deposit will be due along with the final balance payment, 8 weeks prior to your holiday, or, where the booking is made within 8 weeks of your holiday, the damage deposit must be paid in full at the time of booking. The damage deposit may be held by Puffin Cottage Holidays on behalf of the Owner. Whilst we will use our reasonable endeavours to liaise between the Owner and the lead Hirer, any disputed claims must be settled between the Owner and the lead Hirer and Puffin Cottage Holidays are not liable for any disputed claims.

5. Availability
The Contract of Hire is made on the understanding that the property and its facilities as published will be available for the dates stated. In the unlikely event that the property is not available through events outside the Owners control the lead Hirer will be notified as soon as possible. The lead Hirer shall be offered alternative dates or, at the Owners discretion, a refund but will have no further claims against the Owner or Puffin Cottage Holidays. Puffin Cottage Holidays will not be responsible to pay any compensation or expenses as a consequence
