Beautiful little home on a busy road
The positives and areas for growth:
Positives - the home was generally clean and very tastefully decorated. It had the majority of kitchen appliances needed for our stay, and the check in materials got us through the first day. It is located close to target and grocery stores, so we are able to go there for anything else needed. We had never had Duck Donuts before, and it is just a short bike or car ride away. Delicious!
Bummers:
Although it says a 6 minute walk to the beach, it definitely Is not, and didn’t feel comfortable just sending my kids alone. Second, many renters will provide a credit for beach rentals-for things like beach chairs, cooler, etc. since people are coming from out-of-state. This would have been really nice, but they do not provide it.
Lastly, I did not anticipate just how loud this location is. Being out-of-state, I learned to do a little more research if it is on a road because this property directly faces the main road that connects all of the towns in the outer banks. So much noise all day and all night, so there were no evenings or morning spent outside on the deck.
We still had a great time and appreciate our stay in NC.
