Also he drove down from an offsite location to do a late check-in for us. All the amenities were functional, the main thing I observed was subpar cleanliness of some items (towels, bedding, etc.). I'm guessing either they are having trouble obtaining sufficient staff, or perhaps the manager is trying to do the work alone. So couldn't call it my "first choice" for staying in Cortez, but it was there when we needed it (and didn't have to fight with elevators or long flights of stairs, which is very difficult for my spouse to deal with)."

"Right in downtown Mancos. Small room with shower. Mattress lumpy, not comfortable. The upstairs area is quite charming with a sitting area and a large full kitchen where we made our lunches. Very clean. Be careful when you pay- you are offered the opportunity to add a tip and without thinking I tapped 20% on a bill of about $400. I wish I had said “no tip” and just left cash on the nightstand. When I asked the owner about it she said all the tip goes to the cleaning staff and offered a refund. I let it go. Lucky day for some housecleaner."
