The Retro Inn was so perfect for our stay. It is so well kept and clean. They have thoughtful touches all around. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in a King room—cute, kitschy decor. Room amenities are sparse but adequate (one-cup Keurig maker, small microwave, TV). It was not the room I thought I was booking online, based on the pictures vs. reality. Walls aren't very sound-proof. Continental breakfast was decent.

This is an old motel that has been renovated. It is quirky & cute. The rooms are good size, clean and comfortable. It is easy to g et in and out on the highway. We had a room in the back and it was very quiet. There is a guest clubroom that is decked out with a pool table, weights & tables/chairs. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. I enjoyed it.

This was a good property and easy to find and easy to park. It was very quiet. Staff was great and they already had my AC on! c was cold! I would stay again! Had black out curtains but light came in.

This is a really fun old fashioned motel that has been well taken care of. The rooms are nice and clean. The breakfast is good. Highly recommend staying here when in Cortez.

Loved staying here! So cool having each room with a year theme. We had 1977 so it was disco themed with a wonderful cushy orange chair. The breakfast included was excellent in a 50s diner. Awesome big sign out front with a super cute vintage travel trailer, pink flamingos and Elvis on a bench. Included a ping pong table and giant chess set. Great staff! Would stay here again!

Cool motel. Great stay for especially for the price. The retro look theme was great. The bed was super comfortable and the room was clean. A/C worked great. Friendly and attentive staff. Wife and I stayed the night after mesa verde national park. Breakfast was decent with options. Convinently located for restaurants. Thank you.

Fantastic place to stay. We got a king bed room and it was very spacious. The host was super nice at check-in and also when we couldn’t get the tv on. She came immediately and fixed the problem for us. We have stayed at The Retro 3 times and will continue to choose it when we are in the area.

This nearly 100-year-old property fits the feel of Santa Fe perfectly — historic (true adobe construction), charming and relaxing. It is perfectly situated for walking to the must-see places in the broader Plaza area. Our king bed room featured an amazing antique quilt, topping a lovely white duvet on a super comfy king bed. Since it is not a “bed and breakfast,” having a full kitchen was terrific for making breakfast and packing lunches for the day’s adventures. At night, the adobe walls of the inn glow with the soft lights of faux luminaries. You will love it

We always stay at the Retro Inn while coming through Cortez (going on 22 years!). Staff always friendly. Rooms always clean and comfortable. Pet friendly!!! They just put in a small dog run. Perfect!

The room was so cute! I loved the retro theme and how they kept many of the original details like the original pink tile in the bathroom and the penny tile on the floor, to the original “do not disturb” slide on the door and the room key on the large keychain with our room number on it. There is even a working phone booth on the premises. The room was clean and smelled like clean laundry! The bed was ultra comfy. This is a must stop if you are in the area!

Overall had a pretty good stay. Most of the staff were friendly. Someone in our group had a room with a bad ac and they were quick to remedy their situation. Rooms were clean. Free breakfast was about what was expected, pretty typical continental, but made it nice to not have to go buy breakfast every morning. Beds were ok, but not great. I've slept on better beds at other places. That's probably the only let down.
