「The staff at The Columns are extremely nice and helpful. The included breakfast has many nice options and is well-prepared. We had both a double room on the first floor and a balcony room on second floor in our party, and we much preferred the first floor. It’s more spacious, better laid out, and has high ceilings. The second floor is not great for tall people because there are so many low ceilings, and the rooms feel cramped. 」

「The hotel clearly needs improvement- the bathroom is not a bathroom. The shower is old and impossible to manage, the door doesnt close and the TV doesnt work. When you are on vacation what you want is something that eases your experience. We left the hotel the next day and didnt ask for a refund. We booked 4 nights. Can you believe this is Cambodia? What a lucky and unexpected find! THIS is precisely why I love not having fixed plans and being open to just discover something... People! You don't have to book accommodation in advance all the time - just wander around with your backpack and see what happens. You don't always have to read every section of a guidebook to 'be prepared'. Let go of control. Get lost, be curious, say YES to life and you might just be surprised! While Ben was exploring mainland Cambodia, I took a bus down to Kep - a little fishing village - and saw signs for a cheap boat to 'Koh Tonsay' (also known as the Rabbit Island). I took the boat and found Paradise! I was blown away! For hours I lounged on this hammock reading a book and just enjoying the view of an unspoiled beach - almost like Koh Phayam in Thailand. It was Heaven! I would not have discovered this, had i not just spontaneously decided to buy a ticket to somewhere I had known nothing about.
